Hey friends;||||I guess those of you who had some cons could have visited the hotel a while back.||||I must say that I have been visiting Gulu for atleast two months every year and this is where i stay whenever I'm in Gulu and every time I go there is a new addition or improvement.||I have also been to a number of the hotels in Gulu and that's why I have come to this position.||Just a quick highlights of the Pros;||- Receptive staff||- Cleanliness||- Location and ease of access to the bus park, banks, post office, Uchumi Supermarket (the biggest supermarket in the town), the central police station and almost all offices.||- There is hot water on all the sides of the hotel and it never fails.||- 2 hotel shuttles ready to pick you right from the bus park, or even Entebbe Airport (they always pick me)||- 24hr security surveillance||- wireless Internet||- Business Center||- Stand by generator||- Pharmacy (this one I like)||- Laundry||- Gardens (I found this when I went there early this year and the ambience is just so good for a cool sitting or even a private party)||||NB: In a nutshell it's the only hotel in Gulu with all these services including a Pharmacy in one place.||||Thanks and hope you enjoy too.||TD...

I would stay here again, but my companions left tired due to the...
Read moreKakanyero Hotel is one place with most of the basic facilities in an upcountry hotel;and affordable! I liked the pharmacy downstairs. |Some of the rooms have got a good view of the town. ||However you have to book early, also note that some rooms have peeling paint, with broken toilet tanks. Most of the TVs are not adequately working and are reception controlled after all.||Their breakfast was not bad, the restaurant is relatively fast and pocket friendly. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you are an employee activist you may not like the fact that the receptionists work from 8am-11pm (at least for the 2 weeks I was there).||The hotel is well located with easy access to town. It's worth...
