Jinja Sailing Club is an absolute gem for anyone seeking a memorable fishing experience on the stunning waters of Lake Victoria. From start to finish, our trip was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the club's outstanding management, skilled captain, and abundant fishing opportunities. The fishing at Jinja Sailing Club is simply phenomenal. The waters are teeming with a variety of fish, making every cast exciting and rewarding. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner, the conditions here are perfect for a fantastic day out, with clear waters and a serene environment that enhance the experience. Captain Joseph truly elevated our trip to another level. His expertise, patience, and deep knowledge of the lake ensured we were always in the best spots for fishing. He was not only professional but also incredibly friendly, sharing tips and stories that made the day even more enjoyable. His navigation skills and ability to read the water were impeccable, guaranteeing a safe and successful outing. The management at Jinja Sailing Club deserves high praise for their impeccable organization. Every detail, from booking to equipment preparation, was handled seamlessly. The staff was courteous, responsive, and ensured all our needs were met, making the entire experience stress-free and thoroughly enjoyable.

In summary, Jinja Sailing Club offers a perfect blend of excellent fishing, a talented captain like Joseph, and top-notch management that ensures everything runs smoothly. I highly recommend this club to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure...

Waitress took over 20 mins to pick our order. Despite signalling to them continuously, they kept ignoring us. They kept serving other customers. We wondered if it's because we looked broke, and came walking to the club. Or even our skin colour?

I walked to one of them but still, no one came to attend to us. We were only helped by a gentleman called Samuel who was walking by our table. He was really helpful.

When we asked how long the order will take, "about 20 mins or so depending on the line of order," Samuel answered. The order took more than an hour. By the time it came, our hunger had gone.

We had tilapia fish. It would have tasted better of it had salt. There was no table salt. There was hardly any staff on sight to ask for help. But when Samuel came to check on us, we complaint to him, and her got for us salt. The milkshake didn't taste so nice as I was expecting.

The breeze and view by the Nile is great but I wouldn't go back and neither would I recommend it. The customer service is wanting. There's no nearby sink with soap for washing hand. We were directed to a tap in the compound. It was until we got home that we were able wash our...

This used to be one of my favourite spots in Jinja but not any more. Here is why. The staff are EXTREMELY inexperienced. It would take paragraphs to say the many different ways this manifests. For the kind of prices they have (and have always had) its inexplicable to me that 👩‍⚕️🤦🏾‍♂️salt, tomato sauce comes in sachets seemingly picked from left overs somewhere else. The whole tilapia which has always been a favourite was served with some terrible concoction paste made with tomato sauce...tomato sauce (from a 5l jerrycan the waitress was quick to let me know)! instead of fresh tomatoes, onions etc When I brought it to her attention she said many other customers like it 🥺 The fries were TERRIBLE. Dry, probably fried and refried in old oil. Yuck. Top up chilli sauce was provided. Come on guys. Upon requesting fresh chilli, they provided 2 long strands in a bowl. I guess the idea was that we chew on them as we go along 🤦🏾‍♂️

The view, serene enviroment and clean toilets means I'll be back for sure but I'll just limit myself to some water or tea. I'll...

Sailing Club Jinja is hands down one of the most relaxing and scenic spots in Jinja. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, this place offers the perfect escape from the noise and rush of town. The view of the Nile is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset — it’s the kind of spot where you can just sit back with a cold drink and forget all your worries. The atmosphere is peaceful and family-friendly, with plenty of space to lounge, read, or simply enjoy nature. The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the service is consistently good. The food is fresh, reasonably priced, and there’s a decent variety on the menu, including great vegetarian options. If you’re into water sports or just want to watch the boats sail by, this is the ideal place. It’s also perfect for a casual lunch, romantic evening, or even a small event. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jinja. Sailing Club blends natural beauty, great hospitality, and a touch of serenity. A true lakeside haven!
