Its a cute place but if I could give zero stars for the food I would. One of the worst meals I've had in Kampala. Ordered a panini that was dry and cheese was congealed. Side salad was two pieces of lettuce, one round slice of tomato and a squirt of mustard. It was ridiculous enough that it was actually funny how bad of a meal it was. Friend ordered gnocchi which was too large, undercooked, and the sauce had a strange taste to it. Didnt finish the meal and staff inquired about the issues we had. Nobody from the kitchen address the issue though, just another server that had the title of Barista on their name badge. We were offered a free chocolate truffle as compensation but even that was inedible. It didn't taste like chocolate at all and had a chalky texture. Theres so many other good Italian places to go for the same price point. Try Divino, Mediterraneo, or even pizza connection for a better meal.
Editing my review to address the reply from the restaurant:
The panini: I never actually complained about the panini to your staff when I was there so you are lying about offering to make a new one and me refusing. I didn't complain about the salad until the end of the meal when your staff asked about how the meal was, and no offer was made to give me more salad. So this is also a lie. I can't recall if there was an offer to remake the gnocci, perhaps there was. If this was the case my friend declined because the first portion was disappointing. Your dishonesty in your reply in an attempt to save face waas also disappointing. I am sure you won't see us back at Linove but thank you...
Read moreWorst restaurant experience ever!!! Nobody told us about corkage and yet they saw us bring in two cakes. After our dinner they charged 30K for corkage and the waiter had the nerve to tell us they have spared you, could have been 100K. Owner was worse, rude Italian woman who had the nerve to tell us that we can't just go there n expect to use their plates for free, and we should have gone to other places that don't charge. like the nerve....this is the reason why most Ugandans don't bother to go for these other cultural dinner experiences. I could have rated it less than one star but sadly I...
