I visited Somewhere Else near Kampala Parents School to watch the Arsenal game. Most of the guests were Europeans watching rugby, while a few of us were quietly following the Arsenal match on another screen. After the first half, I stepped out briefly and went to a nearby spot. When I returned about 15 minutes later, the channel had been changed. The waiter mentioned that the “boss” had switched it and they couldn’t put it back. When I spoke to the management (who is also the owner), I explained that I had been watching and even bought a drink, but they refused to change it back, saying those watching had left, even though I was one of them. A bar which caters mainly for English speaking expats and sports lovers, has a quiz night on Thursdays. Considering it only recently open I cannot give 5 stars, still some improvements to be finalised. Each time I have visited, each of the 3 pies they sell has been unavailable, due to high demand no doubt. lack of draft beer, communial smoking is allowed which is off putting in this world of non smoking, could you not give the smokers one area to frequent?
