This place really is a game changer for us who live in the neighbourhood. The casual happy hour joint we were all yearning for. Location and vibes on point. Drinks were perfect. Service was great. Only thing I’d say is do not go in there expecting good food. It’s a bar, I know - but there are plenty of bars that do have great bites. This was not the case today. The wedges we ordered did not come with the sauces described on the menu, and the potato on itself was very ‘meh’. The guacamole we were served was brown (old). Came today with my partner to have a nice lunch and I’m vegetarian. I ordered a vegan burger-means no meat! The waiter asked me grilled? So I said yes since vegan/vegetarian fake meat can be grilled too. And waiter brought me a chicken burger!!!! I had 2 bites first and swallowed it of course! Then I asked the waiter if the burger is vegan? He said No it’s chicken! I thought you ordered chicken. I’m was shocked! I had to go to the bathroom to throw up all that! Moreover there was no apologies from waiter from manager. Nothing! Not to mention a place where alcoholic is served lots of children screaming and crying. What a terrible place! We had an amazing evening at The Keg Room last night. The food, the staff and the ambiance were all perfect. The pub is well set up with big screen tv’s everywhere, which made it easy for anyone to follow the rugby (New Zealand vs SA) Our party of 6 tried the prawns, peri peri chicken wings, burger, steak and chicken parmy. The food was delicious, and of course the girls loved the Pinto Grigio and the aperol spritz, whilst the guys enjoyed a variety of international and locally made beers.
