Tuk Tuk Khalifa city — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

I normally do not write bad reviews, but if it is exceptionally bad then you will see my review. Do not get me wrong this place use to be amazing even when it was a hole in wall eatery downtown. However, today we ordered our normal order which included the pad see ew ( more like. Euwwwwwww) see the picture and judged for yourself. For this amount of pad see ew it costs us more that the noodle in comparison. When i asked the waiter, she simply brushed me off saying that due to the type of noodle it sticks together so it looks like a smaller portion and that they never reduce anything. Like whaaat? We are regulars we know the portion. On top of that they serve us tomyum which we did not order and it tooks sometime to get the egg nooodle with shrimp wanton for my daughter. So it is either on the day there is a very confused waiter or a grumpy cook in the kitchen. First time at the branch in Khalifa city and the food was amazing. If you like Thai food then this one hits the spot. Spicy, tangy and perfectly balanced . The service was great . The portions were generous and full of flavour. One of the best Thai restaurants in terms of fresh and non fussy food. Ask for mild spice though if you aren't good with chillies. We went for medium and that was pretty hot even by our standards. ( I'd still go for medium though as I love my chillies). I have been going to Tuk Tuk (City branch) for years and have always left the place with amazing experience. However this was my second visit to Khalifa city branch and I can't say the same for my visit today. We ordered for 2 meals of stir fry chicken in hot basil with rice. And both of the meals had cold rice (not room temperature but cold) and over cooked chicken which seemed to be cooked a while ago. Even the egg on top was cold and seemed to be not freshly made. Over all the entire food seemed stale and as if it was pre-made and just served when ordered.
