Consistently Poor Experience – Three Visits, Three Problems
Unfortunately, after visiting this restaurant three times, I had a disappointing experience every single time. Initially, I didn’t want to leave a negative review, thinking the issues might have been accidental. However, after the third visit and yet another unpleasant encounter, I decided to share my experience. Issue with the Bill – On my first visit, I noticed that an item I never ordered was added to the bill. If I hadn’t checked it by chance, I would have had to pay for an extra meal I never received. This mistake made me feel that I always needed to double-check my bill, as such errors could happen. Not Allowed to Take Leftover Food – On my second visit, even though I ordered food from the à la carte menu (not the buffet), I was not allowed to take my leftovers home. I had fully paid for my meal, and it should have been my decision whether to finish it in the restaurant or take the rest home. A restaurant should not dictate where a customer eats their food unless it’s a buffet, which was not the case here. Despite this frustrating policy, I still decided not to leave a negative review at that time. Disrespect and Unequal Treatment – On my third and final visit, which was for Iftar, I requested a specific cut of meat because I don’t eat the other parts. The server refused my request and, without asking, placed a different part on my plate. When I told them again that I only wanted that specific part, they rudely replied, “It’s all the same, and I can’t give you that part.”
However, when the next person requested the exact same part, they immediately gave them the full portion without hesitation! This kind of favoritism and inconsistency was completely unacceptable to me. Every customer was paying the same price, so how could a staff member decide who gets which part of the meal? No restaurant staff should have the right to dictate what I eat. This experience completely ruined my evening. It’s disappointing that such a well-designed restaurant has such poor management that has failed to properly train its staff on how to treat customers.
Final Verdict:
A single bad experience might be a coincidence, but when I faced issues during all three visits, it was clear that this was a recurring problem. While the restaurant has a nice interior and atmosphere, the food quality is not worth the high prices.
Moreover, when average-quality food is paired with unprofessional service, not only does it take away from the dining experience, but the frustration and disappointment completely ruin your time, energy, and mood.
People go to a restaurant to enjoy their meal and have a pleasant time, not to spend money only to leave with frustration and regret.
After reading other reviews, I also noticed that management doesn’t even respond to negative feedback, showing that they do not value their customers. For these reasons, despite the restaurant’s convenient location near my home, I have decided never to return and do not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Al Meshwar Restaurant, and I must say it was a truly unique and delightful experience. This restaurant offers a combination of features that set it apart from the usual dining establishments.
First and foremost, Al Meshwar boasts its own butcher shop, Arabic and Western sweets shop, and an organic homemade food products store. This diversity of offerings immediately caught my attention. It's not every day you find a restaurant that not only serves delicious food but also allows you to take home some of their high-quality ingredients.
The restaurant itself is spread across three spacious floors, catering to different preferences. The first floor is designated for non-smokers, ensuring a comfortable dining experience for everyone. The second floor houses a kids' playroom, which is a great addition for families looking to enjoy a meal while keeping their little ones entertained. Lastly, the third floor is designated for smokers, providing a separate area for those who wish to indulge.
Now, let's talk about the food. Al Meshwar excels in serving authentic Lebanese dishes, including classics like kibbeh, grills, and daily specials. The flavors are simply outstanding, and you can taste the dedication to preserving the authenticity of Lebanese cuisine in every bite. The menu also offers fantastic salad choices that complement the main dishes perfectly.
The sweets selection is nothing short of divine. The combination of Arabic and Western sweets is a delightful fusion that satisfies any sweet tooth. The quality and taste of these treats transported me to another world of culinary pleasure.
One aspect that enhances the overall dining experience is the availability of high-quality raw meats. It's a carnivore's dream. The freshness and tenderness of the meat are truly impressive.
Lastly, the convenience of valet underground parking is a welcome feature, especially in busy urban areas. It eliminates the hassle of finding parking and ensures a smooth start to your dining experience.
In conclusion, Al Meshwar Restaurant offers a truly unique and memorable dining experience. From its diverse range of offerings to the authentic Lebanese cuisine, delightful sweets, and thoughtful amenities like the kids' playroom and valet parking, it's a gem worth visiting. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking for a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere, Al Meshwar has something...
Read moreWorst restaurant ever and worst dining experience, very expensive, quality of food is very low not worth the price paid, we were dining there and when we finished we asked for the bill to pay, then we paid without checking the bill because we thought they are trust worthy, after paying we looked at the bill and noticed that they added things that we didn’t order and we didn’t receive on the table, so we told them that we didn’t order these items and we didn’t receive them as you can see, so they should refund the price of these items since we already paid for all the items on the bill, they didn’t accept, they completely refused and told us we can’t as it’s already paid, so then we told them what is the solution? They said it will be credited for you, so whenever you come you can use it, so we told them that this is not convenient as we live faraway from you, and this will be waste of time as well as other expenses to come all the way, and since we already ate we don’t want to order more food, so we nicely asked them to refund the money and they refused again, then we went on another day to order takeaway and we showed them the credit that we have from the items that they charged us and we didn’t eat nor receive, they said no we can’t as it’s not allowed to take it as takeaway you should sit and eat it here, this is unbelievable, we were shocked from what they said, we asked them nicely again and they insisted that it should be eaten in the restaurant and not takeaway, this is cheating, to charge a customer and cheat a customer to get more money from him even if he didn’t get this service and he didn’t get these food items and didn’t order them, this is beyond cheating , I have no words to describe it. Will not visit this restaurant at all again, as this is cheating and humiliating for...
