Not sure which forum is right to mention this but i would regardless do so here,Much awaited renovated better and new Bab al shams,its must visit every year every winter,spring&to be honest i have been even in summers to Al sarab the place i loved the most..which now is Anwa but visiting it for 3-4 years in every special occasions,this time it has definitely been the worst of all..Food change is fabulous but the management, staff,attitude,awareness&hospitality all comes down to zero..A place with amazing hospitality ever coming down zero in all that to an extent that guests feel insulted to be there is a big shame .. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED with recent visit to ANWA,if u cant maintain ur old customers how do u plan to make new ones ? Definitely after my recent visit i would not recommend anyone to visit unless they train their staff so no customer leaves from there feeling insulted …

I ordered a drink recommended bythe server which was their best seller, requested it to be without ice which itself made drink quantity equal to half of average glass, sipped it once and told the server this is only juice there is no alcohol taste in it, he took drink and said we will charge u cos its half.. i wud have paid but he went one step ahead and got back rhe sane drink to show me howmuch is left in the glass… this was beyond insulting knowing the fact that he got it without ice and it was half glass when he initially got it to my table. After all the the manager cane and spoke to us for 45 mins on how we shd let go the matter and left. Post all this we still let go and called the server to order food and guess what , kitchen closed.. on pointing the server dont u need to inform the guest that kitchen will be closing specially if no food has been ordered yet, and majority of time wasted by manager and the server . All he could say is oh we forgot.. Drive of 1 hr to n fro and we ate nuthing .. However on seeing how furious we were somehow managed to get desserts . Only thing right was tiramisu ( some asian fusion name given to it) Beyond pathetic experience.. Was farfar better till it was...
