This is a very average restaurant at very best. Had lunch there with my family. Waiters and manager were very attentive, to the extent that we were asked 7 times if everything was okay. I started questioning myself eventually We were asked 4 times if we were sure that we didn’t want to have the buffet even though we had elected to have à la carte. Food was hit and miss. Some really nice dishes, some less than average. Having waiters serve me food over other patrons in my party, I found a little unprofessional. Being served a drink in a glass that was clearly cracked with a jaggered edge not quite 5 star quality. If waiters are doing this, it means that they are not trained correctly by management. The management needs to be scolded not the staff. The menu is incorrect, it definitely states large prawns. What we received was a single large prawn. Granted it was large but it was singular, on its own, not with any other others, should’ve been advertised on the menu as a large prawn. The large prawn was served as such - a single large prawn on a plate. Nothing else, not a grain of rice, not a little bit of broccoli, not an inkling of cauliflower, nothing - just a lonely prawn on a plate. This is not five star hotel expectation. I do realise that I seem to be the only person that is not indicated five or four stars, and this confuses me a little as I very, very seldom give a poor rating to a restaurant. Perhaps it was just a bad day, I will give them the...
Read moreSo we are regular customers to their lunch buffet at AlSarab (now it is called Zala) , AlHadeera dinner buffet, and we stayed 1 night at the resort.
Now, they don’t accept entertainer anymore unless you want to SIT ON THE FLOOR “and they call it picnic style- but you will NOT HAVE ACCESS TO ALL OF THE FOOD”. Is it like if you get a discount thing, you will be seated on the floor and you can’t touch all the food! Shame! Seriously shame!
I was like you don’t have any kind of discount anymore, were are regulars, so she was like unless you have these banks, we can’t.
How come you can’t! This is like a 1 STAR resort, when a regular customer asks for discount for 4 ppl, at least you should offer the same 15% where you can definitely enter it on the system for any other bank instead of offering being seated on the floor and after i mentioned that my mom has a hip replacement surgery and this option cant be even considered. Or tell us, understand the medical case, hence, we can offer you a table even if near the picnic area.
And as mentioned to them, I would definitely go to Ewaan or Mediterano with entertainer with half the price and definitely better service.
Won’t recommend it anymore, and will definitely not visit. Don’t...
