Located in the affluent Jumeirah Islands neighbourhood, Brunch & Cake does exactly what it says in the tin - savory and sweet brunch dishes and an assortment of cakes. Brunch & Cake was born in the homely heart of Spain, Barcelona placing a special emphasis of baked goods and featuring thirteen locations around the world. The menu covers a lot of ground - from schnitzel, to pizza, to pancakes, to some unique pastries and cakes with an average price for a dish of between 70 AED to 80 AED. While the variety is great their classic brunch dishes are a good choice.

The classic french toast (76 AED) is highly recommended with a side of turkey bacon. In addition to a great presentation, the outside of the toast was crunchy and covered with a thin caramel base, while the inside was moist and soft. The cup of americano coffee (29 AED) was tasty, aromatic and nutty. Give the Waterboy (38 AED) a try - watermelon juice, lemon juice, agave and rosemary.

Food : Absolutely disappointing. We received a salad that was in a terrible condition. Old , discolored vegetables .The leaves have changed color to brown . It was impossible to eat it . The quality of food was unbelievably disappointing. ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️

Service: More disappointing than the food was the service. We asked for the manager , Mr. Bruce, to discuss the quality of the food and to our surprise he told us and I quote : “ this is the quality we serve” . I showed him the brown lettuce leaves and he told me there is nothing wrong with them and this is how it should be! The response we got as a customer who rightly had a concern regarding the quality of food we have received was very unprofessional in my opinion and based on my experience dinning in many many restaurants around the world.
