Yum Thai Restaurant, Authentic Street Food — Restaurant in Dubai

Such a great little gem ! We have been ordering in from here last few months and finally last evening had a chance to dine in this small slice of Thailand right within International city. Parking is a bit tight but we had gone in a quiet weekday evening and got a spot nearby. It's a cafe setup with 3- 4 dining tables very neatly laid out. The menu is vibrant and super authentic with some great Isaan gems too in the menu.

My personal favourites here has been the super authentic salads and soups. During our dine in we stuck to some chicken satay and a great prawn salad. All perfectly spiced in the Thai chilli goodness and amazing dips with burst of flavours that you would expect from a Thai restaurant.

The service team is superb, right up there with the top restaurants in UAE or even better; very knowledgeable, polite, helpful and most importantly genuine!

Takeaways and deliveries are recommended for larger groups, but do visit in for a small meetup or gathering and enjoy their hospitality and fresh food right from the kitchen.

One of the last true gems in Dubai...

We came to International City after missing my neighbour’s Thai food. This is a cozy, bright and clean cafe with about 15 or so seats. We had beef salad, Penang curry with fermented noodles, pad thai and garlic chicken with sticky rice, plus Thai milk tea, watermelon juice and a coconut smoothie. Everything was delicious and the flavours wonderfully balanced - not overly sweet as Thai cuisine is sometimes apt to be. Just be aware that some of the prices on their paper menu are slightly less than the online menu and it would have been good for this to be highlighted. We were also overcharged for swapping steamed rice out for sticky rice and the noodles even though the restaurant had agreed we would only need to pay a small supplement (rather than the full price of each item) for these changes. On the other hand, my baby was really enamoured by the lid of the woven sticky rice basket and they very kindly gifted it to her. I was craving Thai food and decided to try Yum Thai Restaurant in International City — and I’m so glad I did!

I ordered the green curry and red curry with bamboo shoots, along with Thai milk tea. Everything was delicious, rich in flavor, and authentically Thai. As a nice touch, they also served complimentary Thai crackers, which were a delightful start to the meal.

One of the highlights of my visit was the exceptional service from a staff member named Mon. She was incredibly hospitable, calm, polite, and truly pleasant throughout my experience. Despite the restaurant being busy, I noticed her managing multiple tasks — from taking orders to serving food and even cleaning — all with genuine grace and a smile. Her dedication truly reflects the essence of great customer service.
