I dont know what happened to their staff's standard of service yesterday. From start to finish everything is a mess and outright disrespectful. Should I be a member to deserve a decent service from you guys?! - Utensils are placed not on my right but in front of me in an angled manner. - glass given was dirty / water droplet stain all over and oily finger prints. -ordered drink was given when we had almost finished our food -same goes with the happy hour menu, 20 minutes passed and still nothing... - i just took the last bite of my order when all of a sudden like a hawk the waitress immediately asked if im done? Im actually not done but because I feel offended - fine lets get the check and dont mind having a desert and drink anymore from this outlet. - the amount to be paid was advised verbally without presenting any receipt /bill. So I dont have the right to check the list before I pay?! - when the bill paper was made available it was handed over plain as it is along with the comment card. Where's your standard way of handing the bill with the usual silver plate and all? Whereas the other table's bill was respectfully handed in the manner I was expecting. - everything was topped off by having to wait for your bill for more than 20 minutes and i am not kidding as I timed this out of irritation. **check your deserts' labels, even for the same you cant make it right. Hate the fact that you made my blood boil on the start of weekend. This should be a chill night. Goodness gracious.. It was not my 1st time in this branch that's why I'm kinda appalled.

Ambiance: 4/5 This place has a nice and peaceful ambiance with the right amount of lighting and makes you to just sit and relax. Service: 4/5 The service is really good and quick, and friendly waiters. And suggestions are given when asked. Food: 4/5 Ordered avacardo and tomato salad, grilled salmon, basa fish with seba noodles, harrisa chicken, steak burger, veg panini, mushroom risotto- and the flavours were really good. Beautifully plated- and all of food comes with a salad with it. The meat has to specified according to our preference- rare, medium or well done. One more speciality they have, they brew coffee and also demonstrate and will be served with chocolate truffle. Desserts- they are just amazing! Ordered almost all of it- and it was worth it. Price: reasonable for the quality the quantity of food served. Wine available here Cheese room with different varieties of cheese Kids friendly and be it with family or for a date or with friends, a nice place to spend some good time.

Marlyn is hands down the best Cheese Expert I’ve ever met not just in the region, but in the world. Her knowledge of cheese is absolutely phenomenal, and the way she presents, explains, and pairs it whether with wine, champagne, or even on its own is truly exceptional. You don’t just taste the cheese, you experience it. She brings passion, precision, and a warm, welcoming presence that makes every interaction special. Her recommendations are always spot-on, and her understanding of flavor, texture, and pairing is on a level I’ve rarely seen in my entire career. Jones the Grocer is incredibly lucky to have someone like Marlyn. She’s a gem, and she elevates the whole experience for anyone who walks in. If you love cheese or even if you don’t do yourself a favor and meet Marlyn. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

Last night in Dubai and we unfortunately choose this place for our final family meal before some of us head home. I popped into the golf shop while my family were seated and when I came out asking the reception where they were I was told they have not come through here. I said yes the have, I seen them come in and again I was told they are not here. Then my wife called me over to where they were sitting. Then it went downhill from there. 1st surprise was that they don't offer any soft drinks. You can have water or milkshakes or smoothies but no coke, orange, lemonade, sprite etc etc. They took a while to serve us and when asked for bread we were told they don't have any. Then it was we have sourdough bread but it comes in 4 slices per order. There was 5 of us and we ordered 2 which was ok but it came with only 2 small bits of butter for 8 slices of bread.

Next the meal. The Wagu burger for my son was on the menu and we asked for it a specific way. It did not mention Mayonnaise, It did not mention tomato or salad. My son cannot eat mayo. (nor can I) But when it came with a lot of mayo on it we explained the situation. We were told the burger was prepared for you and cannot be changed. I said that mayo was not mentioned on the menu and therefore the burger is not as ordered. After a small debate we called for the manager. The manager didn't come but we were told they would re do the burger. The steak was cooked as requested but the pepper sauce was water thin. No substance to it at all. The fish and chips was quite simply bland. We discussed leaving there and then but the boy wanted the Valrhona chocolate caramel slice. It came on a plate without any cream or ice cream and was dry as a bone. It really was not nice.

Anyway that's my report on our Visit to Jones the Grocer. Take from it...

We have been visiting Jones on and off for a few years now, however, I am sad to say the food quality here has significantly declined recently. Previously, we visited the restaurant after our golf games but the last several visits have been terrible.

I want to highlight the last two visits which have been especially bad and the prompt for this review. Firstly, for our second from last visit I ordered the full English breakfast which was unpalatable, with frozen meat and unwashed vegetables. We brought this to their attention at the time and they explained their menu had changed.

Despite our disappointment, I returned for our most recent visit as we have been coming for such a long time I thought I would give Jones a second chance. I ordered the chargrilled striploin and miso udon noodles, hoping for a better experience as this was even advertised as a special on the tables.

However, the dish was equally horrible, with soggy meat, stale vegetables, and no flavour.

My husband joined us after their golf game looking to get lunch but the food was so terrible I suggested we go elsewhere, so we headed to Top Golf where the food was much better.

Overall, deeply dissatisfied with the food quality. They’ve tried to cut costs and subsequently are going to loose a lot of...
