I am writing this review with a heavy heart, having experienced a disappointing stay at TAJ Jumeirah Lake Towers. Usually, the Taj brand is synonymous with superior service and hospitality, but I am dismayed to report that my experience at this particular location was woefully underwhelming.
Firstly, the demeanor of some of the staff members was far from hospitable. It seems as though certain personnel are more suited for office work, rather than customer-facing roles. The absence of a warm welcome and the overall lack of courteous interaction left a bitter taste in my mouth.
The most striking issue, however, was the hygiene standards. I had been looking forward to a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi in my room, only to be greeted by an unkempt sight. The tub had a visible yellow tinge, and when I tested the water, dark debris began to flow out from the pump. Despite multiple attempts from the staff and my own to clean it, the problem persisted. The sight of black substances being emitted from the jacuzzi and the residue that remained on a soaked tissue after wiping the tub was undeniably off-putting. This was a recurring issue throughout my five-night stay, and despite my multiple complaints, no solution was provided.
Adding to my woes was the malfunctioning car charger in the P1 parking area. The hotel staff assured me of its functionality over the phone, but upon my arrival, it was evident that the charger was not working. To add to the inconvenience, a non-electric car was parked close to the only other available charger in the B1 area, making it difficult to charge my car and exit after parking. The entire process of seeking help, getting the other car removed, and finally beginning to charge my car took an unanticipated and exasperating 15 to 20 minutes.
Management, unfortunately, seemed ill-equipped to handle the multiple issues I faced. Of the three individuals who I presumed were managers, not one was able to provide a proper solution or at least offer compensation for the troubles. Instead, it felt as though their primary objective was to pacify my complaints until my departure, rather than resolve them to my satisfaction. This laissez-faire approach towards problem-solving starkly contrasted with the professionalism one would expect from a Taj establishment.
I genuinely hope that the Taj management addresses these concerns. It is with regret that I must advise my acquaintances against staying at TAJ Jumeirah Lake Towers until improvements are made. This particular branch is tarnishing the esteemed reputation of the Taj hotel chain with its subpar service and cleanliness standards. I write this review not out of spite, but out of hope for betterment. Nobody should endure the disappointment and dissatisfaction I felt during my stay.
Lastly, the issues lasted until the last day I stayed in the hotel. I also attached some images, the black debris was much worse before me taking the pictures, unfortunately, I only have these images only. But this just tells you how bad things...
Read moreWah Taj ! - written by a mom ( I am not clingy but I am very good with names). I have been to Dubai several times, but for the first time, I stayed at the Taj hotel. It was also my first vacation with my baby. The hotel is clean ,free of flies ,cockroaches, and ants. I was anxious as my baby could walk but still too small to understand the surroundings. The house keeping staff Rajendra was very hard working and always made sure to clean our room perfectly. The hotel staff is very warm ,polite and friendly. They provided us with a baby cot and also sterilised the milk bottles. I want to thank in - room dining staff Jasmine for it. Also Joy,Silvi, Sandeep and Akash were very helpful. The furniture had no sharp corners. In the bathroom, there was a good quality anti -slip mat, which made bathing my baby easier. There is a Kid's room in lobby with toys and mats and my little one had a blast there. The supervisor Simranjeet and Assistant Manager Shivangi were kind enough to assist me to the room. The Shamiana restaurant had a beautiful decor, and the centre table always had colourful orchids and hydrangea flowers. The restaurant staff is very helping. I want to mention the staff member Fiza ,who had sent the food to my room so that I can eat peacefully without my baby running around everywhere. She is kind and efficient. Also Sandhya, Rameeza, Kuldeep and Priyanka were very helpful. The receptionist Regina , Aporva and Gaurav were helpful and also answered all our queries with patience. At the concierge , I had interactions with Arnold,Denise ,Samuel, Faruk and Rizvan. They were always busy but still managed to have a small talk with me and baby. In the afternoon the temperature were very high so I would just spend time in hotel with my baby and walk at the pool area,in lobby ,in kid's room and gallery. The pool area is beautiful and it is decorated withflowersr and comfortable chairs. The staff Ram and Nasir were kind enough to take pictures of my family. The hotel has a comfortable taxi also with fixed rates. Drivers Brian and Salib are super cool. Lastly, the hotel security staff is always ready for any questions and for helping with the luggage . I want to thank Teekay , Sanjay, Tanveer, and Ranjeeth for the help. The food at the hotel was delicious, especially Indian cuisine. The crispy papad brought back memories of my childhood. The only thing I didn't like was the copper green mirror in all the lifts. I found it boring. People on vacation want to feel relaxed. May be a painting (madhubani ,phad, warli) etc. might be better. Lastly, I want to say that if you are on a vacation for first time as a parent, this place is great. I might have forgotten many names but I want to thank the...
Read moreA Five Star Hotel which I Rate as 2 Star Service. Better Avoid and Stay at a much better Hotel. Liked · 1. Rooms were good. Noise Protected, modern amnesties and a comfy bed. Thats IT !!!
Disliked · Lots of Things No Valet Parking - Probably due to the Current Pandemic so had to self drive to the basement. Rooms were not ready upon arrival. Requested for King Bed as me and my family were on a staycation, was offered a dual bed room which i politely refused. Then the staff mentioned to accept the room temporarily and shift over to the new room by 5 or 5.30 PM. PS. dont fall for that as I only got the room by 7.30 PM (i checked in at 1.30 PM) and shifting from one room to another with that much time is a bit of hassle in terms of repacking the stuff. Reception Service Over the internal call is an utter waste. You always need to connect via the operator and this literally takes a lot of time for someone to pickup. And though they will mention that they will call back dont expect it, as for the many follow ups that i did for room change i only received one call back once the room was ready. Breakfast was not to the expectation. Had expected a buffet service being a 5 star hotel, but got a fixed ala carte menu. Still ok for that but the food was not even 5 star worthy. I have had better dosa's and poha from a simple restaurant than what i had there. Only thing good i had was the hot chocolate and watermelon juice. Breakfast was served in the Shamiana Restaurant and literally its a small place where you need to wait to get a table so better be there before 9 AM. Shamiana Restaurant - service was really bad as in the ordered items either did not arrive on time or they forget that we had ordered the dishes and need to keep following up with them. Is this really a 5 star service ??? Pool service is only until 6 PM... what a bummer !!! To Sum it up wanted to have a good staycation with the family but disappointment upon disappointment is what we got in return.
And the response for this review will be a common copy paste one by the manager of the hotel most...
