Yeah nah mate. High expectations and slammed reality.
We were early, so just one patron who was about to leave. We were a group of 5. No one, yes no one, directed us to be seated, so we just sat. After what felt like a long time someone came to our table and we ordered water. They didn’t ask if we want cold or room temperature and were given room temperature bottle of water. The table had four glasses and the no one added two more glasses even though they gave us a bottle of water.
Then came the food. The shinwari was dry and grainy and tasted odd. The dry karahi had an odd unsavory smell. The karahi was okay but they used a very gamey cut of lamb. The grilled chicken had good flavor from the marination but once again had some unsavory taste.
Given that it is supposed to be associated with Shahid Afridi and cricket, there wasn’t much that would hint at that bar for some pics in the family area. Two mismatched sized screens installed at odd locations with one playing music and one some cricket highlights.
Overall would not visit again. Not that it was bad but it wasn’t...
Read moreExtremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Service & Rude Staff NO PARKING ! Literally blocking the whole road Such a tiny place with rusde abd unprofessional people
I recently visited this restaurant and had a very unpleasant experience. We were asked to wait in the designated waiting area despite an empty table got available in the serving section after 20 minutes Instead if offering us the table, Shockingly, when another family arrived after us, the staff offered them that very same table “as a waiting area” while we were still waiting!
This level of mismanagement and favoritism is absolutely unacceptable.
On top of that, the food was below average and lacked flavor, and to make things worse, the staff was rude, unapologetic, and poorly trained. There was no sense of order or professionalism — just chaos and indifference.
It’s clear this place struggles with basic customer service and hospitality. Definitely not going back, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a respectful, organized...

As a big fan of Shahid Afridi, I was really excited to visit Lala Darbar in Dubai — his own restaurant! It felt special to dine at a place that carries his name, and overall, it was a lovely experience.
The food was delicious, with authentic flavors and good variety. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and satisfying. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
However, I did feel the place was a bit too simple and small. For a restaurant associated with a cricket legend like Afridi, I expected a more lavish and visually striking setup — something that reflects his larger-than-life personality. A little more attention to interior design and decor would definitely enhance the overall vibe.
Still, as a fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. It’s a good spot to enjoy a flavorful meal and feel a little closer to one of your cricket idols. Would love to visit again and see how it evolves...
