I have been a loyal customer of Mogao for many years, even before the restaurant was sold and rebranded. I have always supported them because I truly believed they offered delicious food and good service. I often recommended Mogao to my friends, as I felt they deserved more recognition and a bigger customer base.
Unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. We visited the restaurant when it was already crowded, and only later realized there was a cricket game scheduled. The staff told us it would be over soon, but in reality, the game had not even started. When it began, the TV volume was turned up very high, much louder than what we’ve experienced in other restaurants during live sports events. Normally, restaurants take into consideration that not all guests are there to watch the game, so the sound is adjusted to a level that works for everyone. Here, however, the noise was overwhelming — especially during the commercials, which were even louder.
I politely asked the staff to reduce the volume, explaining that hearing is the only sense that cannot be surgically restored, and it was simply impossible to sit and enjoy our meal in such conditions. Instead of handling my request with customer service and empathy — at least acknowledging the problem or saying “I understand, I will try my best” — the waiter, Buddha, just said “No. Other customers are enjoying.” That was his response. No effort to compromise, no understanding, just a flat refusal. It felt very dismissive and disappointing to hear this, especially as a loyal customer who has always supported the restaurant.
This kind of response was shocking and upsetting. In all my years as a customer, I have never experienced such behavior here. Whether he is a big cricket fan or not, this was not professional service. His attitude made me feel completely unwelcome, and for the first time, I left with the decision not to recommend Mogao to my friends anymore. In fact, I will advise some of them, who are also regulars, to stop visiting.
It is truly disappointing to see a place I have supported for so long fail to respect their loyal customers in such...

Read moreIt’s a hidden Gem. Been there twice. 1st during weekday, and the everything was just impeccable; atmosphere with lighting decoration and music were just tailored to be perfect for private dinner or casual business. We were craving for sushi and not willing to go out of DSO, so we give it a try with some doubts about freshness and taste. Freshness, taste and portions were amazing. (only I highlight that soya sauce and wasabi were not served for each person but to share, which is not comfortable) Drinks, we had Bombay Gin and tonic that time and it was perfectly prepared, and shot is perfect at the taste. 2nd time was on Friday night, we sat on the same table and ordered the same food sushi but different plates to try more stuff on the menu. Again food, service, staff were impeccable. Being me in the events industry, it was obvious the that LIVE BAND is budget quality. It was just noisy and deal braker. 3 musicians and one singer, not the band technicality nor the sound equipment were good, music is not sync with singer, the singer voice is just a scream and without any professional singing, speakers and Equalizers require adjustment big time. I recommend the management to look into this Band and find different alternative. Maybe if you are on budget, just play live recorded music , or get a DJ player, proper one with his descent equipment and it will make a difference for sure. Shall u need help in this...
