For many years I have been going to the Al Nahda branch and love it. Then I tried the one around Health Care City and was quite happy with the taste as well.
However, this newest branch in Silicon needs some improvement in terms of food taste.
The papaya salad tastes nothing like the Thai papaya salad, not even close. It was just a papaya mix with chilli to make it looks like the original. The main core of the Thai papaya salad taste has to have a salty taste in it and the dish served here was so plain and sour (maybe too much lime juice).
**For many Thai people living around here, don't order unless you want to waste money for a papaya mix with chilli. They don't even bother to put garlic in it and that's a must.
The Ka Nom Jeen noodle (white noodle). It was big almost an udon size and has nothing to do with the Thai white noodle. Wrong choice of noodle. I suggest go check some Thai grocery shops in the International city.
I also had the green curry which tastes decent enough.
The good thing is they understand how to make Nom Yen but not Thai milk tea still.
I asked the server and got the answer that the chef is not Thai and I think there is no point to name the restaurant Go Thai and serve some dishes which are not Thai taste in them. Should be Go Asian or something like that. I don't agree if the restaurant tries to make the taste for everyone since this is Dubai, not Thailand but Dubai already got Little Bangkok (fake Thai taste restaurant ). So if Go Thai want to stand out, they need to fix the tastes and hire a Thai chef ASAP.
In the end, this is Go Thai and most of the dishes on the menu are Thai food (they put some sushi as well but who cares). We want real Thai food or taste good like the old day of Go Thai ( 4 years ago at Al Nahda). Not like this.
It will be once and never again, not only for me but for everyone. A little business like this still needs a customer base and a good reputation.
By the way, the setting of the restaurant is warm and nice but the music is too loud and terrible. Today they have 2 servers, the black shirt guy and a Filipina woman. They were sad...

Read moreOne of the recent days in Dubai, I ordered a Thai takeout and it was quite a pleasant experience for me. First of all, the food came hot and fresh which is always promising. The portions were big; the tastes did not disappoint – every dish was well prepared and enriched with genuine Thai flavors. From the creamy curries to aromatic rice, all these were mouthwatering and richly seasoned. This had been proved by keen preparations thus making it a fulfilling meal.
However, I noticed that the prices were on the higher side compared to what one would expect from such quality and quantity of food. Though I enjoyed my meal, I felt like it was slightly overpriced considering other dining options of similar kind available in Dubai. For that price I expected either better tasting food or unique atmosphere while dining there.
In conclusion, good food but with large servings sums up my entire experience as far as this point is concerned though their pricing could have been more competitive. It’s very much an option if you fancy some Thai cuisine but do not mind paying more for such convenience buyers…..
Overview: positives and slightly high cost can be mentioned to guide your next...
