On my way to India, got the chance to have Mumbai Chilli Eggs Cheese Paratha in morning Dubai local time at Taste of India Restaurant during layover waiting time.
The Mumbai Chilli Cheese Egg Paratha is a flavorful and indulgent fusion dish that combines the savory richness of a paratha with the spicy kick of chillies, the creaminess of melted cheese, and the protein-packed goodness of a fried egg. Here's a breakdown of its key elements:
Flavour: The paratha is crispy on the outside, yet soft and flaky inside, offering a satisfying texture. The addition of cheese adds a creamy, slightly tangy contrast to the spice of the chillies. The egg, usually cooked sunny-side-up, contributes a rich, smooth element that binds the entire dish together. Spice Level: The chilli component can vary depending on where it's made, but it typically has a noticeable heat that complements the other ingredients without overwhelming the palate. The fresh green chilies are often used, giving the dish a lively zing. Cheese: The gooey cheese is the highlight for many, bringing a melty, cheesy element that is perfectly balanced with the sharpness of the chillies. Presentation: Often served as a wrap or folded over, the dish is easy to eat with your hands. The egg, cheese, and chilli filling are encased in the warm paratha, making it a satisfying, one-handed meal. Satisfaction: The Mumbai Chilli Cheese Egg Paratha is a hearty, flavorful street food-style meal that's ideal for breakfast or a filling snack. It hits all the right notes of spice, texture, and richness, making it a comfort food favorite for those who enjoy bold flavors. Overall, it's a delicious, feels like street food that is perfect for those craving a fusion of spicy, cheesy, and eggy goodness is mouth watering had paratha with filter...
Read moreThis restaurant, located in the food court at DXB airport, serves its customers a very authentic Indian fare. I had ordered the tandoori paneer tikka. The dish was made absolutely fresh-to-order, with soft, melt-in-your-mouth cubes of paneer, marinated and cooked to perfection in the tandoor, along with slices of onions and paprika. The dish was also coated in a mint-based sauce, which made it truly delicious.
What surprised me, apart from the very big portion size of the dish, was also the fact that it came included, at no additional cost, with either a serving of rice or your choice of naan bread. I went with a garlic bread, and it was fresh, warm and delicious too.
The food can be relished along with an amazing view of the runway right in front of the restaurant, from where you can watch several flights taking off...
Read moreI recently tried Taste of India and ordered the Chicken Masala with Rice and Cheese Masala with Rice. Both dishes were flavorful, with rich spices and a decent balance of heat and creaminess. The chicken was tender, and the cheese masala had a nice, comforting texture.
However, while the food was enjoyable, it wasn’t the best Indian cuisine I’ve had. The flavors were good but didn’t quite have the depth or complexity that makes a truly standout Indian meal. The rice was well-cooked and complemented the dishes, but nothing about the meal particularly wowed me.
Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re craving Indian food, but if you’re looking for something exceptional, there might be better options out there. Would I eat here again? Probably, but I wouldn’t go out of...
