Granma's Kitchen — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

A very entertaining, if lengthy, order for a panini and coffee. As with many of these UberEats (et al) type places, they're doing delivery orders as well as front house. The entertainment came from watching the staff do their thing...a bit faulty towers, but they delivered.

The panini I got was huge...like the ones I used to get in the 90s...and brimming with filling. I've had to put half of it in the fridge for tomorrows lunch! Both the panini and coffee were good (not great) and slightly better than what you get in the nearby Uni and ARI cafes.

It's a good, old fashioned, down to earth, place not suited for hipsters, poseurs and trendy people in general....They can go down to Rosemount place where...

Ok so i came on Sunday and was the only customer on the shop. I ordered full Scottish breakfast. I asked for well done egg as I don't like runny eggs, however my egg was runny. My friend ordered American breakfast with strawberry smoothie and they gave us pineapple smoothie. My daughter ordered pancakes with strawberries and banana with ice cream and it was perfect. Apart from that I can't fault anything..I know they were busy dealing with orders from just eat. I still think it's important not to neglect the needs of the customers in the shop that have actually made effort to come to your cafe...

One star is for the staff member at the counter actually taking orders who was nice. However the cafe itself is quite poor. A cafe in 2021 that doesn't do a flat white and were 'out of cappuccinos'. Got a latte instead and was offered sugar but no brown available. I also ordered a sausage and egg roll. I waited 15 minutes, there was no one else there. The staff apart from the one taking orders kept coming front of house without a mask on (review date 24/09/21). The good however was OK. If you're desperate for food or coffee it's fine. I won't be going...
