I only had the pleasure of visiting this great venue as my cousin is a local & it's one of her haunts. Really amazing fresh food cooked to perfection. Has an ok selection of drinks, in my opinion it's more wine bar than pub based, which is a shame as a few more ales & beers would compliment the food menu nicely. I visited just before Xmas & it was quiet, we sat outside in the marquee as it wasn't that cold, cushions & blankets on the benches were a nice touch, along with the Xmas tree 🎄 I don't know how busy it is on a warm day, but I can imagine it could get rammed as outside space is kinda limited? There's a nice view of the marina, and the only downsides would be that the marina is in the middle of an industrial port, take the boats out of the view & picturesque it isn't. Also let down by it's lack of parking, but that wasn't an issue for us. No issues with the service, staff or food though, really nice... Can't wait until my next visit on a warmer day! Not far from the coast path into Brighton.

This place is awesome and I'm writing this review reluctantly, as giving away my little treasure might now draw hordes of visitors :). You can choose to sit on the decking, which has recently had a nice gazebo style tent added for warmth and shelter, and which is overlooking the port or on the first floor terrace. The views of the port are stunning, whether during the day or at sunset, with small boats gently rocking on the calm waters and two loved up swans leisurely swimming by...It gives you that special holiday feel, all in a little Riverside part of Soutwick. The beers are lovely too, although we haven't tried the food yet, and the service is really friendly, almost like a village pub yet with a touch of urban sophistication. Highly recommended. P.S. there's free parking too or make it a welcome stop after a long stroll along the beach.

Fantastic Vegan Wellington!! The staff here are enthusiastic and friendly, and the outside seating is great for anyone insterested in boats - positioned right on the harbour. Note that while the parking is metered, the pub will give you 4 hours’ free parking when you provide your registration at the bar 😇 I probably would have given 4 stars, but my partner’s roast pork was very, very chewy and he had to leave nearly all of it, which of course isn’t ideal, and the beer selection was quite poor.

Pretty basic outdoor area but nice on the marina and great if the sun is out. The food isn’t amazing but it’s a pretty decent standard. The fish & chips & Katsu prawn curry were both v good. Sadly the service was pretty poor. It was odd how one girl could serve drinks and one girl take food orders and one girl do something else. It should be a team and they serve who is ready to be served. It made for an awkward experience when ordering drinks or food. You ask to order a drink and get looked at like “I can’t do that”. The 8 main courses weirdly turned up pretty much 1 by 1 (5 of them). Then the 6th 5 minutes later. Then 7 & 8 didn’t turn up. I went and asked where they were and got told “the ticket machine wasn’t printing properly so the kitchen missed 2 pastas, sorry” (but then wanted to focus on the other dishes and if they were good). We then waited around 15 minutes for two pastas, by which time the whole table had finished. No offer of money off, no offer of a free drink. A very quick apology which just felt very lax. I think it’s fair to say the whole service front start to finish was just lax. It felt lazy and as we had already paid, we couldn’t be bothered to argue. So we didn’t order any desserts and left. My feedback is simply to care more and be genuinely sorry if you make a mistake and a small gesture would have probably meant some of us would go back. As it stands, 8 people had a very average experience, spent almost £200 and won’t return which is a shame. I rarely write reviews but felt the need to so the feedback is...

Definitely made the wrong choice going here today for lunch with my Granddaughter. Firstly I ordered a Toasted Sourdough Chicken & Bacon Club sandwich. It wasn’t Sourdough neither was I informed at time of Ordering that there was No Sourdough available but, it arrived with just cooked bacon ( more fat than bacon) on White bread with very chewy Chicken of which was not edible and so I wrapped it up ready to hand back. I asked if i could have Toasted Sourdough Chicken, to which came the answer, we don’t have any as the order wasn’t made. 2. I asked for the ( Not toasted, Not sourdough sandwich to be replaced with a Fishcake to which I was told was not a problem and it would arrive imminently. The Waitress returned from the kitchen with a message from the Chef who according to her was a separate entity to the Bar , saying that because there had been a piece of chicken eaten by my Granddaughter he wasn’t going to replace the Not Sourdough sandwich. I also ordered my Granddaughter a portion of Garlic bread only to be served two slices of white bread which had been slightly smudged with butter and a few chopped pieces of garlic on it. The bread again White had more dry areas than garlic buttered parts. The waitress was apologetic but, clearly was embarrassed having been told to deliver the message from the chef. I felt sorry for her . Never again will I attend this place who I have to say has a very limited menu for Children . A dreadful experience for £15.00 without the cost of...

The location was great on a hot summers day. Upon arrival a somewhat disinterested guy asked for our order, 2 pints. We were the only customers. A very pleasant, polite and helpful woman brought the drinks to our table outside. Due to driving we decided to return the vehicle and come back. On leaving (15 minutes after arriving) we returned the glasses to the bar and noticed a computer screen (somewhat obscured by leaflets) to which you had to enter your number plate to show you had purchased drinks to gain fee free parking. Upon using the terminal the bar man stated 'you are probably too late, they are quick here, we have a lot of problems' WHY did he not point this out on purchasing the beverages? A cynical person may infer that far from a warden from GXS Parking Worthing (Head office in USA!!!) being onsite within 10 minutes a person may have made a call to alert said warden on the promise of a financial inducement from the ÂŁ100 POUND FINE, I would suggest avoiding the place which at the very least is served by a disinterested, customer service negligent barman. Real shame as the venue...
