Artisan Bean Co — Restaurant in Amber Valley

The artisan bean company is just inside the newly completed corn exchange building in king Street belper just tucked back away from the town centre high street . The premises are ultra clean and spotless, plus all cakes upon my visit were covered by highly clean glass dome covers keeping the products fresh and still visible to the customer which is making sure that the products are free from airborne particles , a plus's for freshness and health regulations especially now with the current COVID situation . The staff are friendly and welcoming and were very enthusiastic about their the roast and coffee bean choice , which has been sourced from a roaster's in the Yorkshire area , and it really was a good choice as it is not a generic mass produced blend but a higher quality roast that had some fruit tasting notes and was sensibly priced , I had an americano and it was served in a spotlessly clean glass cup which was squeaky clean , nice touch !! The temperature of the coffee was at it's optimum making the best of the roaster's choice of blend . There was a good selection of cakes all baked to a very high standard I had a frangipane tart and to be honest if you had one I'm sure you would enjoy it too !! Recently extended, this business deserves support and is a relatively hidden gem in the heart of Belper. I went to this cafe’ I asked for a cheese toast ie a cup of coffee and a package of crisps! Total bill 9.80??? In my opinion this was quiet expensive.
