Catch a bite cafe — Restaurant in Amber Valley

The last time we came here the staff was amazing, knew all the menu items and fulfilled every request. This time, it was not so great.

Asked if they did tuna and cheese toasties, the waitress had no idea. Asked for toast with butter on the side (because I'm extremely fussy and can only eat VERY small amounts of butter) but it came pre buttered and slathered in it at that. Apparently the "boss told me I'm not allowed to put butter on the side" despite every cafe I've ever been to doing it that way. Asked for a glass of tap water to fill the dog bowl up with, the waitress just stared and said that they only did bottled water. What cafe doesn't have a tap.

We sat at tables in a covered, outdoor area which is clean, well organised and comfortable. Prices are clearly displayed and food is tasty and good value with little delay. There is an indoor area nearby. There's plenty of car parking but no toilets. If you don’t like someone smoking outside, you can move indoors.
