Crest Of The Wave — Restaurant in Amber Valley

I don't normally post bad reviews, but this was particularly ridiculous. We ordered at 11:45 and Just Eat said our food would be with us at 12.45. At 12.30, we received a call from the restaurant telling us our food would arrive at 1.30, no explanation for the delay, and the man didn't wait to hear whether that was alright with us. At 1.45, the food hadn't arrived yet, so I called them back. The phone rang and rang before hanging up. 30 seconds later I got a text from just eat saying our food was on it's way. Remember- this is TWO HOURS after we ordered, over an hour after it was originally supposed to arrive, and fifteen minutes late. At 2.05 the food finally arrived, but it was lukewarm, and half the items we ordered were missing. I called the shop again. This time they picked up and told me the delivery driver was already on her way back and the food was in her car. This was obviously a lie, as she didn't come back until 2.30, IT WAS A DIFFERENT WOMAN, and this time the food was steaming hot (though very soggy). I reckon that the driver left half our food at the shop so they stuck it in the microwave and gave it to her to bring back. Completely unreal.

Bottom line? Milkshake was great, cheesy chips were fine, but onion rings and chicken are uneatable. With a £12 delivery fee which we thought we'd splurge on for a special treat, what a total and complete disappointment. (Not to mention an offensive waste of money.) DO NOT...

We have been waiting two hours for our food to arrive with two hungry screaming kids, i called them up 15mins after the set delivery time to offer assistance if the driver was struggling to find my address, as although the property has been here for 7 years now it seems everyone is clueless as to where it is 🤔. They said they had no trouble finding it and were nearby, fast forward another 40mins, called them again to find out that they couldn't find my address so they won't be delivering my order. Its beyond a joke. Firstly dont lie and say the driver is alright and can find my address when we both know he can't, secondly dont lead me on to thinking I would be getting my food and not tell me of any difficulties prior me calling nearly an hour later! I used to eat from there and so did my mum sometimes we had a delivery service and sometimes we went inside it it is 50 50 weather you get great food it should be great all the time weather you go in and have it open or you have it delivered most of the time when you go in and and have it open it is better than having it delivered and when you was able to sit down it was better but having it delivered it is mostly terrible I had a lot of terrible food delivered than when I used to sit down or eat it open it was better when the other owners used to own it before it was sold the food is better to pick up yourself then it would be a 4 star from me but having it delivered or if you pick it up yourself and take it home then it is...
