The Waggon & Horses Alfreton — Restaurant in Amber Valley

If I could give zero stars I would went in today at 12 with my 5 yr old son waited ten minutes at an empty bar to order a drink. Went and sat at a dirty table which I cleared myself and sat waiting a further 20 minutes for the ignorant waitress to wipe the table down before ordering food, she came past wiped and cleared every other empty table except ours that was covered in butter, empty sugar sachets and toast crumbs seeming more preoccupied chatting away with two young gentleman seated to my left completely blanked me when asked if she could wipe my table down. Eventually we got up and walked out going over to ten pin bowling for some lovely food and fantastic service. You know it's bad when an entertainment establishment has better service than a restaurant. Will never be returning which is a shame as the first time I went in on a Friday night the service and mixed grill were fantastic. I suggest you hire better waiting staff as she was God...

Ladies and gentlemen, you are cordially invited to join us at the Wagon & Horses to indulge in what can only be described as the lowest effort breakfast ever dumped on a plate by a human being, every single item will be expertly warmed to exactly 0.5 degrees above room temperature, I can only assume the kitchen used a heated argument as the primary cooking method. On top of this it appears the cutlery I was offered had not been washed since it was previously used to fillet a badger and rotovate the soil at a commercial turnip farm in preparation for the growing season, attempts to complain were unfortunately futile because the solitary member of the staff attending the bar was engrossed in a conversation about her hair with Dorris and Hilda which is probably still...

When we arrived their wasn't many tables taken . We sat and waited for service for 20 mins. So went to the bar to be told the man on his way 45 mins later we had to ask a member of staff to get someone to come over or we will miss breakfast . So we waited yet again another 15 mins . Then finally our order was taken but yet again we had to wait a long time for our food . Whilst we waited all that time other customers had come in been served got their food and even left so service was very poor . Also our food didn't arrive very hot so that to was disappointing . I think they need more staff on taking orders and they need to keep a check who has...
