Greggs — Restaurant in Babergh

Today friday 6/12/19 around 14:00pm was a very bad experience ive ever had with this Greggs. They have normally been very good. They served me a cold pizza, but they said nothing was wrong with it. There words were (Chloe) i just got it straight out of the oven. Yeah you did but (Sara) kept opening the oven around 3-4times and never could shut it up again properly with the handle as she kept going back to lock the handle down. So thats why the pizza was possibly cold. Me personally i dont like cold pizza as it dries up and cuts the back of your throat. I did get a full refund but the assistant manager Karen did not even offer me another pizza or let me keep the cold one to finish eating. I also order two mocha's and i half the chocolate sachet as they can be rather sweet. I normally would only pay for one hot drink as they are shared and only technically doing one mocha and i got charged for two when again they did NOT use 2 sachets of chocolate like they normally would. I would understand if they charge for a shot of coffee in the 2nd mocha but charging for two mocha's when only one is being used is abit much. That is ripping off the public!

Food quality average, customer service average. While they smiling and chatting with locals, we as tourists with slight foreign accent have reveived just averagge service witouth bells and whistless just like any other average fastfood retail. However, most alarming was the dual pricing. On each cold item there is surcharge to be consumed in store. As example cold sandwich costs £0.50 moreto eat in. There are 2 small cofee tables, but no dish or cutlerry provided. You still have to eat in from paper wrap and drink cofee from paper cup. Sadly staff was unable to explain this price policy and claimed that no one has ever complained ... Ofcourse LOL :) PS: Their "Free Wi-fi" is not...

Great little Greggs, never short of options during my visits although during my last visit I did notice flies were easily accessing the sweet treats through the gaps in the glass cabinet. Only gripe in my many visits...
