Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Babergh

Upon arrival at this establishment the cafe looked extremely promising . There were people already sitting down enjoying hot drinks and food after a hard morning shopping. We walked over to the counter and checked out Thier breakfast menu also looking rather impressed at the choice and value. We ordered. the friendly staff took our order and made our drinks. As we went over to find a table we were very impressed the tables and area was very clean and tidy. As We waited on the food we tasted out drinks (two of the most perfect hot chocolates) could of been a bit hotter but all in all very nice. Then came the food. The eggs looked like they had been borrowed off the near by McDonald's hard rubbery and full.of cold grease. The bacon I presume didn't like the frying pan as you can see in the attached images. The toast should of just been left as bread as it would of been warmer. On an up side though the beans and the sausages were top notch. Overall quite a plesent experience. But Tesco as you say every little helps . Have a little rethink to see if your 9 pound breakfast could have a little bit more care and attention. Sort this out and you will be up there...

So 3 people in front of me took 15 mins just to take my order . This is bcos when the person on the till is taking orders , they make all the drinks there and then . Lots of staff about but someone should do the drinks , and someone take the orders . Staff member apologised and friendly , but it always takes ages to order . Then 15 mins to have food delivered to table . Not as good value for money as it used to be , but good quality except for the sauasge. Very cheap .also very very frustrating that’s you can’t swap some items around any longer but sainsburys Morrison etc still let you do so . It’s called customer service . Not that , that is...

Normally I do not give negative reviews, however I do feel this is deserved. The staff member serving was disinterested and unhelpful.

On a shopping visit to Tesco, she firstly said they had no eggs, she was not apologetic or helpful in offering an alternative selection, apparently the machine was not working. She was not interested in bringing food to the table and looked bored.

At the end of shopping on returning to the cafe she said they were closed and walked off. I had rated this enterprise highly and recommended it to friends. I will no longer feel that way and will not to recommending the...
