Was looking forward to having a nice relaxing brunch here with my mother, but unfortunately was disappointed.
Not very clearly sign posted as to where the tea rooms were - it was rather confusing like others have said so my mum who struggles to walk had to do a lot of walking up and down until we found the entrance.
The best room is for people with dogs only, we were only offered the back room even though the best room only had one couple in there with a dog.
It was very cold, the table rocked when cutting food making the tea spill and was very awkward - tried the usual paper under feet but it needed about 10 beer mats
The tea came in a cup with bag left in, being called a tea room we expected a tea pot for a proper mashed brew.
I asked for plain poached eggs on toast and not in the style eggs Benedict with none of the garnish that came with it, but I was billed for the full price - pretty cheeky I thinks.
My mum got a child sized pizza
Condiments were not offered or brought to the table , has to find them and fetch them myself.
The bread was very tough and the knives were very blunt
We were never asked if everything was ok
My Mum didn't want me to raise any of it with the staff, she just wanted to go and put it down to a bad experience and not go again.
A shame really because it could be very nice, the surroundings and buildings are very nice and it's a peaceful site, the cafe / tea rooms decor, furniture, cutlery, food and service is nowhere near the potential and certainly not worth the £20 we paid.
So I agree with the other people who have been somewhat disappointed.
I am certainly not picky, or expect the Ritz everywhere I go, and I am not one for giving poor reviews unless they really deserve it to guide others.
Hope the owners take note of such constructive feedback and prompts some changes.
The manager kindly replied with some feedback but I understand it is on the restaurant to physically ask if everything is ok soon after getting your meal - not waiting until you pay.
As I said my mum didn't want me to raise everything because it was too many things
Please can you improve the signage to make it more clear of where the entrance is. Please can we move into the better room with a sturdy table. Please can we have a proper tea pot Please can you turn the heating up Please can we have sharper knives Please will you bring me the condiments Please can I pay less because I requested less food.
Too many, and most of those should be applied by default, if rating it as a quality tea room. It sure has the...

I visited Millers Tea Room in Worsborough for brunch, and it was absolutely delightful! This gorgeous tea room serves up food daily from 9am including some cracking breakfasts, brunch dishes, lunches, cakes and bakes AND they do a monthly Bistro night too (keep reading or more on one we attended).
I enjoyed their signature dish, Hash & Black; poached eggs, black pudding, hash browns & avocado on sourdough, topped with Yorkshire Preserves Habanero sauce. Perfectly cooked eggs, this is a delicious and filling meal. I also tried their pancakes lathered in Yorkshire Preserves lemon curd, with fresh fruit and cream, wow. I definitely didnāt need to eat both, but I tried my damned hardest as they were really moreish and yummy.
The Mill is still a working mill (although currently in repair), producing flours for local bakeries. I was kindly gifted a freshly baked loaf, still warm, sourdough loaf from Millers, which went towards some fantastic lunches and dinners for the week.
A few weeks later, Ben and I returned for one of their Friday evening Bistro Nights, this time it was Greek Night! For a set menu at £35pp, the food was delicious and aplenty, and the service was super. You could also cheese from a wide range of drinks on the night too including some great wines, and a small selection of beers.
We enjoyed; āļøBread (made from the flour milled at Worsborough Mill) & olives āļøBaked feta āļøPork souvlaki (with a little Yorkshire Preserves green chilli sauce) āļøBaklava Mess āļøOrange & lemon tart
What a lovely little date night, somewhere fairly local to us. We are hoping they bring back Bistro nights later in the year.
I would highly recommend giving this place a visit for food, and whilst youāre there, why not have a walk around the mill and the reservoir and take in some of the local scenery and wildlife. I had a lovely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCakes were amazing, the staff on the shop are lovely, friendly and welcoming. However the staff in the cafe are extremely rude and unwelcoming. Second time trying the cafe and the second time of inappropriate rude manors.
First of all a lady with blonde hair shouted at us twice to go outside and order when we wanted to sit insideā¦
We ordered £30+ worth of cake and tea as we were eating, baring in mind we had only received our food 10 minutes ago 2 waitresses came over and without asking started to clear the table when the children were still halfway through eating a sausage roll, we had to actually ask her to put it back and let the children finish eating. While I was asking her to stop taking food away from my child my cup of tea was cleared away only half of it was drank.
The same blonde waitress started having a paddy about a door being left open, and slammed the door shut. (We hadnāt even left the door open)
Never been made feel so unwelcome in a cafe after a relaxing walk with the family, she was also rude to other customers that had came in to order food.
Donāt work somewhere if you dislike your job. Learn customer service. After talking to family members about it this afternoon they received the same service last weekend.
What could be an amazing little cafe with delicious food, they clearly donāt care for repeat business.
We visited on...
