I am absolutely disgusted with the staff at Favourite chicken in Wickford. i have been a loyal customer for months, but i am disappointment with the treatment i received today.
On 2 occasions i have ordered from them and they didn't follow my instructions, however today is the first time i made them aware. they got my order wrong again for the 3rd time and i decided to contact them directly as i couldn't get through to Uber Eats. i called them to let them know of the mess up and they denied giving me the wrong order, despite me saying I can provide evidence. He asked for my number to call me back whilst he speaks to the manager, but not wanting to give my number, I said I will hold on the line instead. The staff member then purposely hung up the phone on me and when I tried to call back numerous times they ignored it and didnāt answer.
i then decided to take the food back directly to the shop, which i was very upset about, as now they are causing even more of an inconvenience for me. when i arrived i gave the food to the manager of the shop, he was in plain clothes and he has these patches around his mouth. I explained the situation and also let him know that his staff hung up the phone on me and at this stage I want my money back. he didn't even apologise or acknowledge the mistake, and tried to belittle me by acting as if this was a minor mistake, saying, āwhat do you want them to do, they are very busy, it was only 1 mistakeā. He started becoming aggressive and argumentative which is not what I would of expect from a manager who should be showing professionalism. he then slammed a Ā£10 note on the counter and told me to take it. i said no, as i paid way more than that on Uber eats, he took the money back and shouted well you go to uber eats and sort it out then!!. I told him why doesn't he get on the app and refund me and he refused saying i should sort it out myself. i then said fine i will accept the Ā£10 in which he then refused to offer it to me again and said no and walked off and started to ignore me. i then called Uber Eats whilst in the shop to rectify this situation in which the manager then left the shop in a huff and puff abandoning his staff.
i am absolutely disgusted that you have such a man at your shop and from the reviews, you have had many complaints about this manager, so why is he still in this position treating customers like this? Judging by the reviews, you also have many complaints about them getting the orders wrong, so why is it ok for this to continue? if they are in the wrong, there should be no excuse and you shouldn't be defending your mistake and try belittling the customer as if its a minor issue, his minor mistake is a big mistake to me, as the food was not only to feed myself but my son. a simple I'm sorry, or let me fix this for you would have been the more appropriate way to address the situation.
how can you have such a disgusting, bad mannered, aggressive manager in your shop? how can you have staff who hang up the phone on customers? This manager is a complete coward, as I believe if I was a man he would have never reacted as irrational as he did. Customers who pay through Uber Eats spend way more money than they would if they went into the shop, so when special instructions are given, they should be followed. I am very glad i remained calm during this situation, because he was so hostile, that this could have turned bad real quick if i had reacted. The staff member who hung up the phone is also just as disgusting and shouldnāt be able to work in your establishment.
you shouldn't have such a nasty person in charge if that's how they are going to respond to a customer. The fact that you still have him there despite all these customer complaints that I can see in your reviews, shows that you donāt even listen to your customers or value them at all. He clearly doesn't know a thing about customer service, he is uncivilised, unprofessional, useless, aggressive, nasty, throw his toys out the pram like a baby a*se manager

When we arrive back home with our meal we noticed that ALL of our fillet burgers were pink and one in particular very pink. I called the store and explained my findings and was told to fetch it straight back. Upon arrival the server took a quick glance at the food and said it was fine. I replied that it had never happened before and that I wanted all the meals replaced including mine which was different but by this time my meal was stone cold. Server said he would only replace the burger meals even though my meal was now cold due to their mistake. I asked to speak to manager who said that he couldn't see any pink until I asked him to look more closely, then agreed and all meals were replaced. I was shocked by the attitude of the staff especially as this was their fault not mine. Got back home with the replacement order and what did I find YET ANOTHER PINK FILLET BURGER!!!!. I didn't bother the call the manager back at this point I just put the whole lot in the bin what's the point of speaking to someone who obviously doesn't really care about giving people under cooked food. £30 of takeaway in the rubbish. Standards have obviously slipped here and we will not...

My brothers meal was missing we had no mention of them resolving the issue just pure rudeness from a gentleman and then was spoken to by a lady who abruptly told my brother in law that 'we should learn how to order' even though we have the receipt to show two of the same meal was ordered and hadn't received one out of the 5 meals and then she proceeded to hang up the phone. Absolutely fuming is an understatement and my brother had missed out on his meal. Will not recommend! We were very close to turning up to the restaurant after the rudeness we had received for a missing a meal that we had paid for and not received! Vile customer service...
