KFC Pitsea Retail Park — Restaurant in Basildon

Where do I start, so when coming in we noticed the place is filthy. I know its customers, but could be cleaned faster. After ordering my wife went to see where we can have a sit. I stayed, got the order as takeaway, though was dine in, and went to join my wife. She had to clean the table and seats for us to have space, though there was plenty of time for someone to come out and clean while order was made and before food was ready. Three guys standing by the till jocking around showing how unprofessional they are and how they are not supervised. Another guy went to clean tables while the three just wasted time by the till. We do sometimes order online and many times items are missing, this was not exception there were no fries with the set. By the till guy told me the drink I paid extra 40p is not available, why then superviser or someone still has not updated machines?! And no refund off course. Poor service, when I worked in hospitality I would think I represent the business and if I was seen by owner the face of brand is down in mud I would be told off as minimum. After seeing the behaveour of workers and filthy area I still wonder did I have clean food and if the kitchen staff wears hair and beard nets and if the food is treated like the place looks. Not sure if its psychosomatic or it was food, but night time I had bad stomach. Owners, managers, supervisers - please have a meeting with your staff, please go there undercover and see if that is where you would eat and how you like your business to look and if you would respect what you see there. Myself and my friend are both disabled and came to your KFC in pitsea today between 12 and 12.30 we ordered on your kiosk and it gave us a option of table service so we asked for a number and was greeted with a attitude by a female member of staff who said we don't do table service, the cleaner offered to bring our food for us . The food came and I went to the counter to ask if one of the meals came with a drink again I was given attitude saying no it dont , I then asked then can I order a drink both female members of staff both stood doing nothing just catting with arms folded said again with attitude go and do it on the kiosk and then we will do it . I know they could have done this on there till as other KFC in the area do but I can honestly say the service is disgusting and unhelpful we shall never step in this KFC again and will be tell others to avoid .. Atrocious service. Waited over 25 minutes for a relatively small order as customers after me were served first. They also ran out of chicken (causing a further 15 minute delay) at 7:30pm on a Saturday evening.

I complained how my order showed as ready, and then vanished from the screen and was told to disregard the screen entirely. Even better was when I went back to say they had forgotten my Krushem. The staff member on the till was so uninterested, she looked like she was losing the will to live.

When the food did eventually arrive, the Krushem was like a milkshake and the Pepsi was flat and warm. The ONLY saving grace was the food, which was relatively nice.

I think I'll go to the McDonald's...
