Marco Polo — Restaurant in Basildon

You can't fault the food at this place I mean it's up there with the best But , and it's a but that will stop me from going back to this place Ever , and I digress, when you spend a shade over one hundred pounds for four people and a child i expect a little service ,no, rather i expect a lot of service . It was bordering on rudeness really from start to finish then there's the price , for three meals without starters or desert I thought a hundred pounds give or take was a tad extortionate so mr Marco polo we won't be travelling back to Wickford any time soon ,oh no we'll be off to explore establishment's of a more welcoming kind ...

Got to say, I have been attending Marco for years and every time we go it doesn't disappoint.. Never had a takeaway away (if they do one?) But ambiance, service and food is and always has been top..I've eaten in many restaurants and this always sticks in my mind! Only down side i/we had was it was quite loud with a few tables enjoying themselves, when we was there as a family..Not restaurants fault and if I was there as a couple it wouldn't of been a problem, just we couldn't hear ourselves talk 😆 Not restaurants fault! Would we go again? Of course! Next...

Been going to Marco's for many years now. Did the eat out get tenner off per person. 4 of us had a bill for £106 and got £40 well pleased. Not pleased with service as different waiting staff. Not a great welcome and hardly any smiles. Place was packed the time we left. Asked for tap water by the glass due to hot Naga Chicken which was great. Waiter said he's not allowed to serve tap due to Gov guidelines. Not sure what he's on about but we got our tap water. Come on guys be happier. When was the last time Marco's was packed...
