Read moreThis is my go to local coffee house for drinking out. There is a great selection of coffees, foods and snacks. The staff are all really friendly and always helpful. There is something not quite right with the coffee though. After watching the baristas at work they are doing everything correctly. I recently purchased some fresh roast beans from there (which I assume they use in house). I then found the problem. Their blend of coffee is quite bitter and has a slight taste of treacle. Read moreGood local neighbourhood coffee shop, I imagine it does quite well in the local area and during my visit it was clearly well represented by folks that were familiar with the team and the business.
I've given it 3 stars for 2 reasons. 1 - I arrived just after 9am, only person in the queue and after placing my order had to wait about 10minutes for it, which is quite unreal considering I had only ordered a double espresso and crossaint.
2 - Price. £3.75 for a double espresso is extortionate int his day and age. Of all the shops in London or across the country, it's generally £2.40-£2.80 maybe £3 at a push. It wasn't justified by specially sourced beans and there was no mention to why the price is what it is, but when I checked my receipt I found the crossaint to be £2.70 which is brilliant value, but £3.75 for an espresso?
I won't visit again on that...
