The Bell Inn — Restaurant in Basingstoke and Deane

The Bell Inn is a halfway meeting point that my sisters & I tried for the first time today; I say first time as we will definitely be back. What a lovely, friendly, cosy pub. We aren’t pub goers but this is certainly a place that draws you in. The menu (varied & reasonably priced) & meals chosen more than made up for the extended hot journey getting there. We popped in here for a couple of beers whilst staying down the road for the night. It's definitely a locals pub where everyone knows each other. We have never felt so welcome in a locals pub, everyone was happy to chat, let us have a turn on the pool table. The friendliest german shepherd happily played along with us. The Bell Free House is hands down the greatest pub in this beautiful town! I love it! I've always loved it. The beer is delicious and the staff are amazing. Nothing like crashing a Quiz night (trivia for us Colonist) and bringing in some clutch American answers (like Ty Cobb; May 2022 quiz night).
