I am a young 14 year old girl, me and my friends just needed the toilet, causing no harm or disrespect whatsoever to the staff. We had just entered the building and not even 5 seconds later does the man behind the bar threaten to bash our faces in if we used the restroom. As young 14 year old girls this is quite a terrifying experience to be threatened my a middle aged man. He then continued to swear at us and used physical gestures to frighten us. We had never said a word to this man we just turned away instantly to try to escape the horror we just faced. I completely understand if you do not want us to use the restroom, however is is completely unacceptable to be talking to young girls like that when they had just entered your building saying nothing whatsoever, but simply glancing around to find the restroom. If you wished that we didn’t use your facilities you could have simply and respectfully told us that you would have preferred if we did not use the restroom. We hired the function room here for our engagement party. The room is cheap and is a fantastic size, which is exactly what we needed our friends and family. Massive shout out to the staff that worked hard that night and especially a big shout out to Theresa who, our go-to lady who sorted the room for us. Nothing was too much trouble. She allowed us to bring whatever we wanted, and even allowed to us to keep our belongings over nights which was extremely convenient for us. This is one of the best pubs in Worksop. I am here with my family nearly 7 nights a week. They have Bingo 3 times a week which is always packed and a really good laugh. Free jukebox on a Wednesday with a disco every Saturday. They have a function room upstairs that provides for all. There’s a Northern Soul night every 4th Saturday, Zumba, Burlesque, Yoga and others. Great place for baby showers, parties etc and they even have Room Supervisors to stop any unwanted guests to your private function.
