Hit and miss I was part of a family meal today , overall we had a good time, parking is ample, and good sized ,restaurant was well lit and warm , it wasn't to busy, Service was hit and miss ,but in general slow and appeared haphazard/ chaotic,

, I ate along with another person of the gluten free menu we both had the traditional Christmas dinner and pudding The dinners that came looked very sad especially next to the normal Christmas dinner another member had, after checking the menu we booked off we both hadn't been given the pigs in blankets or cranberry sauce and no roast potatoes, we managed to get the attention of a server who fetched the missing pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce but they didn't have the roast potatoes, so we would have to have the potatoes they sent, who has rock hard new potatoes with a Christmas dinner? we didn't get other veg provided with the normal dinner , the turkey was nice and moist but not much of it, the veg we did get was quite hard but edible, overall very poor wouldn't have it again,

The gluten free crumble however was a big surprise, good size ,nice and warm and tasted great, right balance of ice-cream

On the basis of the gluten free menu and service. Overall I wouldn't recommend coming here

MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DIDNT GET A SECOND BIRTHDAY PARTY BECAUSE OF THIS RESTAURANT..

This restaurant is absolutely shocking! I booked a children’s party in October and when I booked said party I asked all the relevant questions as there was a larger number of adults than children. I asked if we could all sit in the children’s area because we didn’t want the party to be deprecated and was told Yeahh that’s fine. I asked about a deposit and they told me that it would be okay just pay the full amount on the day. I told them it was a party for only 4 children but there would be 13 adults also and was told Yeahh that’s fine it would be £30 for the exclusive room and £7.50 for each child, this was all arranged a month before the party..

On the day of the party I called the restaurant to confirm the booking and ask if the cake we had made could be dropped off and saved until we got there. The boy on the other end of the line told me that the venue was booked up for the day? I told him “that’s me it’s booked up with”, he replied that I hadn’t boooked a children’s party at all and that he couldn’t help me in any way. He was sorry that somebody had misinformed me that my party was booked but wasn’t willing to help in any way. This was 2 hours before the party was “booked” to start. His telephone manner was very aggressive and was was in no way professional.

Normally this place is pretty decent but however on this visit me and my partner were extremely disappointed in both the service and the food. I ordered a mixed grill and my partner ordered the crown of burgers, we waited 40 minutes for the food to come out when there were at most, 20 people in the whole place and not all were eating. The lad who brought our food out said that he wasn't happy with part of my order so he made the chef cook me another item, he didn't say which one. Now every single item of my mixed grill was cold or luke warm apart from my chips. The steak was over done and burnt, the chicken was cold and smiley, the sausages looked like they'd been on a hot plate for hrs and the gammon was cold and tough. My partners burger crown was cold to a point where the cheese had set again and the only item warm on her plate were the chips also. It took over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and when I ordered another I ended up cancelling it due to it still not arriving at the table half an hour after ordering it.

Seriously not satisfied with this experience and highly doubt that we'll be going back anytime soon.
