I was disappointed with my experience at this place. I encountered some material like a hair or thread in the cream of my order, and while my order was being prepared on site, the staff did not use gloves to maintain hygiene. Unfortunately, I believe that in a patisserie this is a basic requirement that is still lacking here, and none of the excuses I received were sufficient to justify not using gloves. The prices are not low compared to other establishments of this kind. For example, you can get a cream horn for £2.50 here, whereas an identical one is available for £1 at another bakery (I compared them by taste and found that the only difference is a higher profit margin here). On the other hand, the portions are large, which is a plus. There is plenty of parking for cars and a lot of space inside, but it is irritating that there is no trash bin for customers to dispose of paper waste after eating and no napkins or wipes available when you get messy during your meal. I think these would definitely be useful on the tables. The atmosphere is positive for a place like this, but the limited attention to hygiene is the biggest flaw that disappointed me the most, and I know that this was the last time I ever visited there.

I was fortunate enough to have tried a doughnut from these guys before actually visiting. A site I work at regularly has some on site engineers who are Polish, they asked if I'd like to try a doughnut and I honestly don't think I'd had a better doughnut ever, so I had to find out where it was from. Decided to visit as he told me they had a cafe/restaurant too as well as the bakery. We were unfortunate that their machine to do hot chocolate was broken (but I can't mark it down as these things happen) however I bought more doughnuts (obviously) and an eclair to try which were all generously sized and lovely. Theres so much more to choose from too, I was eyeing up the cheesecakes but managed to resist... for the first visit anyway. Even better was the price. I'll definitely be visiting again!

Oh my god. This place serves the tastiest, largest slabs of cake I've ever seen. It's a cosy little cabin of a room too. The prices were so reasonable I thought he'd mischarged me. Will absolutely be going back and also trying to ensure my team meetings can take place here as I want to work through all the cakes now!

Been here a couple of times now. Lots of parking, lovely seating area and an amazing choice of gorgeous cakes.

The only thing that let's this place down is the lady who serves you... I get it, we all have our bad days, but I've visited a couple of times now (thinking perhaps I've caught her on an off day) and she's just plain miserable and rude. Honestly, it costs nothing to smile, costs nothing yo give a little customer service, "Hello!", "Thank you" "Enjoy your cake"... Nope, each time I've visited it's like it's hard work serving the (one) customer in the place, it's like she really hates her job and makes this really obvious.

Btw, this is from a customer who is a young widow, with unfortunately no children and yes I don't like my job... But what I don't do is take my misery out on the people I come across. If the lady serving is having such a bad time, perhaps just work behind the scenes or take time away from work... This place is amazing but the lady behind the counter obviously doesn't want to be there. I've noticed it's not just me who has...
