Saffron Lounge Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Bassetlaw

Staying with friends this isn’t our usual indian , last time we stayed here we had a take out from janook and it was awful , cold food and not how it should be . This time our friends ordered from saffron and it was amazing , waited 20 mins over delivery estimated times but was worth it , all food was piping hot and fresh . Very tasty. Will definitely use again when we are with friends , pity they don’t deliver to Nottingham ! I had saffron delight and my partner had chicken passanda , pilau rice and chips to share , keema nan and kulcha nan and enough to take home for tomorrow , friends had chicken Bhuna and lamb dopiazo pilau rice and poppadoms again tasty, fresh and well worth the extra cost . I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a long time, the staff, the food and the venue are first class. Nothing is too much trouble, the food is perfect every time, the staff are fantastic, friendly, engaging and polite. We have a young daughter (18 months old), and the staff are so accommodating with our little one - they’ll do anything and make her anything she likes (a bowl of peas and cheese naan are currently her favourite !).

As a somebody who loves this cuisine, I’ve travelled all over the UK, visiting local restaurants and this is still the best.

If something isn’t on the menu, just ask, they will make anything, and it’s perfect every time.

I would highly recommend Saffron. We visit on a regular basis (and have done for a number of years) to sit in the restaurant, and we have also used the takeaway service. The food is always beautiful, hot, well presented and cooked to order. The staff are always very friendly and professional and the service is always top notch. If you are unsure about a dish or what you may like, the staff are always happy to give their input of dishes that they would recommend to try according to your personal taste/preferences, and this can also be tailored through the menu.
