Went to Murphy Browns on Thursday evening with a friend. I had booked online which was so easy and quick to do. I received confirmation via email and text which was so handy. From the moment we stepped in we were made to feel very welcome. The relaxed atmosphere definitely makes the dining experience more enjoyable. We both dined from the Early Bird menu which starts at 5 pm until 6.30 pm. There was plenty of choice for such fabulous prices. One course is £13.95, Two courses £15.95 and 3 courses £17.95. I started off with breaded mushrooms with garlic mayonnaise. These were absolutely divine. Then I had the 8oz sirloin steak with saute onions and homemade chips. The steak comes with a £4 supplement and was definitely worth it too. Cooked to perfection 👌🏽 You can add sauces to complement your meal for a few pounds more. We added pepper sauce and a gravy. Finally we got to the desserts. As everyone knows Murphy Browns desserts are delicious, so much so, we had 2 each! And were only charged an extra £2 per person. My chosen desserts were homemade cheesecake of the day which was Baileys. As my friends know I'm very partial to Baileys and this certainly didn't disappoint. And homemade apple crumble & custard which was also fabulous! The service received was as fabulous as the food. You can also dine from their breakfast & lunch menu, evening meal menu, Sunday lunch menu, steak night Wednesday and lastly the children's menu. Something for everyone. I'm so looking forward to...

Was here for my nephews birthday,Staff were nice and helpful, but the food was very poor, everything was covered in grease,my wife got Cod and chips, the chips were rock hard (microwaved?) and the cod was dripping with fat,it was soaked, she ate about half of it,and let me try a bit-it was so greasy and soggy.Pizzas were also dripping in oil.I had chicken curry which seemed like it was out of a packet, hardly any chicken and loads of onion chucked in to bulk it up.I have had better school dinners,it really wasnt good, and I would not go back.

The owner contacted me and asked me to ring and discuss our visit--why? I have said what I wanted to say,the food wasn`t good at all,and it should be of a decent standard, all the time, not just after people have complained. You get one chance f you are lucky in the catering game,if you food is not good then expect to hear about it.I am not interested in excuses or a discount for a second visit,if a place is bad and the food is bad,why would I...

Paid a visit to the refurbished restaurant. Lovely decor and the atmosphere was good. My meal was great but my brother ordered the fish and chips which he had eaten on previous occasions. However, this time the plate was presented with only fish and chips, nothing else. We asked the waitress if it should come with salad or garnish but she didn’t seem sure and just left us. Shortly after the proprietor asked us if everything was okay and we posed the question again. He said that the waitress was only training and that the meal should have come with garnish. He did bring us a plate of salad and coleslaw and apologised. At £16 we didn’t really think that we had got value for money as the portion of fish was about half the size of a previous one. However, you can’t judge a place on one visit so we’ll try it again soon as we like to support small...

Got my first delivery earlier for my wife’s birthday and all I can say is it was fantastic, to be honest the chips where forgotten from order a wee phone call and literally a few minutes driver was at my door with them and apologising, we had mushroom and a boneless chicken wing starters which where a good size and delicious, next we both had steaks good portions and excellent price I’ve paid a lot more for worse steaks in other restaurants to finish we had chocolate fudge cake and a sticky toffee pudding both were excellent. This is my first time getting food from Murphy Browns it will definitely not be the last. My delivery was also perfect time (I ordered it online yesterday) I would definitely recommend them I would also recommend the boneless chicken wings they’re fantastic 👍

I'm a bit perplexed as to why the owner didn’t let us know the Sunday menu offering were 3 courses for £23 pound. But we went in thinking we can just choose off the menu and I failed to realise the top offer. It was full so we sat outside. It’s a Sunday mind, different menu but we were unaware. One lasagne, one peppered chicken no mention of the 3 course deal. Each item then was charged individually so it was £19 for the lasagne, £19 for the chicken. And three soft drinks at £3 each. Total came to £47 pound. Checking the normal evening menu prices (lasagne £16, peppered stack £17) they've just added a few pounds on for themselves, that's a nice wee tip. Too expensive for what it was.

Service was wonderful as always. We sat outside today because of the beautiful weather and the staff were as attentive to those indoors as to us outside. Food arrived quickly after ordering and was delicious. We both went for the two courses deal and the value for money is clear as the portion sizes were generous without being huge. Been coming here since I was a wee one with my Dad back when it had the deli and it continues to bring me back time and time again.
