Decor is lovely was the first thing we noticed. Was good to see Italian wines on the wine list. Brushchetta and Carbonara my two dishes were both nice and two courses came in at under £20 which is about right imo for lunch on the Antrim Road. My wife's starter was decent and her main course the chicken parm was good. All four dishes were well presented. Staff were nice and there was water provided without having to ask. And refilled again without having to ask. Four local young lads about 11 were allowed something to eat and were sat outside with four pints of iced water. As someone who lives locally it was great to see this and not see them chased away. They looked like they were having a ball. Will definitely be back. One absolutely minor criticism as it's probably personal preference and we were only there 90 minutes overall was I felt it was slightly on the slow side for two courses. That's potentially on me as I'd a hard stop deadline. Most probably would have been happy. Great addition to North Belfast.

First time visiting this place tonight. The atmosphere looked inviting. Ordered pasta aglio e olio. Unfortunately Pasta was uncooked. The lovely lady in short hair ( didn’t get her name sorry) apologised and told me they will cook another one but I decided to leave, maybe next time? Who knows. Some Staffs were nice and polite though. Just wanted to point out that when the young lady served the pasta, it slipped into her clothes and she didn’t even bother to say sorry. Needs more training esp if you’re working in hospitality. Price is right, good parking. Nice atmosphere. Read another review regarding racism and I believe felt that too. I’m Asian and you just know by the stares etcetera. Can’t recommend this place sorry, esp if you’re from a different background.

We visited here on the recommendation of our Air B&B host. We were a group of 3 adults and 1 child. The interior is beautiful and we were provided with a lovely seat at a window. I had the prawns for starters and my son had the biggest 'cheese pull' mozzarella sticks I have ever seen. I had the salmon for main on a bed of truffle mash. It was absolutely AMAZING. It was so good we all headed back the following morning for breakfast and it was just as good. We will definitely be back if we are ever back in the area.

Gave this place a rave review in the first month or two it opened. However a visit with friends several months ago changed all that for the worse due to the terrible customer service we encountered from the manageress. I ordered a pizza and asked for a soft egg on top. When the pizza arrived - without said egg - I raised this with the server who in turn spoke to the manageress - a short-haired lady we'd not seen before on our previous visits. The manageress then proceed to explain that they had never ever put an egg on a pizza and that I was wrong. Couldn't believe how rude she was! And of course when someone tells you you're wrong when you know you're right (and especially when you're essentially paying for their wages) you tend to dig your heels in. The whole situation could have been diffused so easily if the manageress had dealt with the situation properly (there are many ways in which it could have been handled better), but no - it turned into something straight from the Basil Fawlty playbook! Our whole table couldn't believe the awful customer service we received, so I went without pizza, waited for the others to finish, paid and then we all left as soon as we could. I could provide pics and witnesses for said waitress (or she could even consult video footage of some of our previous visits e.g. 30.07.24 or 16.08.24 etc where she'll see a lovely egg-topped pizza being served to me) but life is too short for egg-gate, and they're not the only pizza place in town. I have taken my business elsewhere and advise my friends and colleagues to do likewise. Shame that one manageress can blight the whole dining experience for what had been a great...

Was there for my birthday recently. We have to leave the restaurant 1:30 hours later, having just interacted with staff twice (once to order drinks, once to place food order). Our food never arrived. This was a tuesday night, not busy, and plenty of staff arround. When manager was prompted with the scenario, he offered some desserts on the house. Having three children in the restaurant, having waited for so long, not having had any food, didnt want to extend our stay any longer. I asked for the bill. It came with food order on it despite not have eaten anything there. This was adressed and we were asked to pay the drinks we had consumed 1:30 hours earlier. Clearly someone has put lots of though, passion love (and money!!) in the place. The environment is fantastic with great decoration;the menu is simple, attractive and full of options; very good selection of wines. It has to be disscouraging when after all of that, poor custormer service and an attitude of "I couldnt care less" gets in the middle of a potentially very...

We were a party of five and went for late lunch Very impressed by decor etc and those serving our table were pleasant and polite although not totally efficient as we had to ask at least twice for water. We were also promised extra side plates to help with sharing and unfortunately they never were produced .Two of our party were happy with their main course and a third (my son who was treating my sister and me as a belated birthday present) although pleased with flavour of his pasta dish found it somewhat cold . My husband had ordered the risotto and he found it almost inedible as it was so salty .My main pasta dish was tasty but a bit undercooked.I know it is said pasta should be al dente but there is a difference between al dente and not properly cooked. We did point all of this out to our lovely waiter. On way out I happened to see an older man preparing a pizza and witnessed him spread the greater cheese over the top with his bare hand 🙄 All in all a very mixed experience and at the minute don’t think we will be...
