Made the staff aware of my nut allergy when ordering our food. They brought down one of our dishes and said “this has pine nuts on it but pine nuts aren’t nuts”…. I was in complete shock and once again explained to them that I am allergic to nuts and they proceeded to say “so you don’t want to risk it?” I personally think it should be the restaurant that wouldn’t want to risk it!! You cannot serve nuts to someone with a nut allergy and then proceed to patronise them by saying “pine nuts aren’t nuts”!!! We've been excited for this place to open and it did not disappoint. Lots of familiar staff from Neill's Hill who are always lovely and and a lovely Romanian waitress who looked after us really well. The manager on shift was also great craic and had great rapport with all customers. We ordered five tapas to share between two which was plenty of food. A MUST is the beef short rib!! An amazing addition to Ballyhack! The food was to die for! The menu has great choices to suit everyone including a fab children’s menu! The interior is calm, relaxing and offers a cosy Mediterranean feel which adds to the atmosphere (off home to book a holiday now! 😂) I love the mocktail and non-alcoholic drinks choices on the menu!
