UPDATE - JAN 2022. REFUND WAS NEVER RECEIVED ALTHOUGH PROMISED TIME AND TIME AGAIN. ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!
placed an order on 10th october around 10pm delivery time said 25 minutes two hours later rang to see where it was was told by staff that order was only just received and will be delivered now advised i am going to bed so would prefer refund advised that they will "look into this" here nothing for 7 days email regarding refund update no response ring today to request update met with very poor customer service and vague answers from Alisha i request more information about when i will be receiving my refund Alisha advises all she can say is she will look into it and cannot give me any more information I ask if i can come to store to collect my money, i am advised i cannot i ask to speak to manager whos name is Sar Sar defends Alisha initially saying she is "stressed because they are busy" Sar states that she will personally look into this for me Sar eventually apologies on the basis of "if i thought Alisha was being rude then she will apologize on her behalf" I advise Sar that i am unhappy with the customer journey and experience so far, as this level of service is unacceptable as I had paid upfront for my order, 10 days ago Advised Sar I will be leaving a review based on my customer experience She requested i add in the part where she apologised on Alishas behalf, regardless of the excuses she made for her unprofessional and unhelpful behavior towards me, the customer, requesting an update on my refund.
will never order from the Selly Oak Dolce Desserts again. Ashame, because the pershore road Dolce Desserts have some really nice cake and coffee. Selly Oak Dolce Desserts letting it down for the Dolce brand name.

The order was to arrive within 45mins to hour (by 9pm) However at 9.40pm upon my attempt in enquiring as to why the food was 40 minutes late and what time it would arrive. The phone was constantly engaged. I tried after every 2 minutes for over 20minutes until 10pm yet the line was still engaged. I then remembered that Anisa who works there had previously informed me that they take the phone off the hook when they get too busy and only deal with online orders.
In any case as my order was now over an hour late I had almost lost the appetite to eat. After emailing on Just Eat and clicking the "order late button" it notified me that there was a further delay of 20 minutes. Making my order a total of 1 and half hours late. I was extremely disappointed that the Dolce did not have the customer service to call the customer themselves or communicate that there would be a delay etc.
Finally when the dessert arrived the crepe was stone cold, the gelato ice cream was missing from the order and the custard as well as waffle were also stone cold. My children had gone to sleep and we did not eat the dessert that night.
I tried calling the store but again it was engaged. The dessert was inedible.
The next day when I complained to Dolce of my harrowing experience the woman who answered the phone Anisa, was rude and simply said, "we were extremely busy and there is no way of informing customers for all the late orders we have". Thhere was no apology or offer to remedy the poor experience I had had. She tried to rush me off the phone by saying "I have a lot of orders here so can you call back please". So I simply gave my mobile number again and asked that here manager (owner) call me.
It has been nearly a week and I have not had any communication from Dolce Dessert.

After waiting until 1:00 am i called them to ask where my desserts were and was fed a load of BS. I was told that i had been called 3 times to cancel the order and i was given no reason for a cancellation and whats worse is that they had dialled the wrong number failing to reach me. I was then told that i would receive my order in 20 minutes. After asking why they were trying to reach me to cancel and why it took 2 hours to make just 2 desserts i was given no answer i then waited for 20 minutes and then had to call them for the second time asking where the desserts are i was given the same answer that they would arrive in 20 minutes. I struggled to understand what the lady on the phone and waited the further 20 minuted for my order to still not arrive. Lady on the phone was also quite rude as she said that she had not sent the order out because she was busy. After waiting a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes i did not receive my order.
