I've been a fan of the Hop Garden since it opened and it just keeps on getting better. The cask beer is unrivaled! Kept brilliantly, always rotating and I've enjoyed some of the very best pints I've ever had here, usually between 4-6 taps depending on the day. Great lineup of keg craft and ciders, also rotating and the usual suspects for your none craft drinkers including a great selection of gins. Also a big beer fridge containing some of the latest craft beers around which can also be taken out for a discount. Covid measures are spot on...arrows, hand gel, all doors open, track & trace in place with bookings and everything spaces out nicely. The garden is epic and is also where the new Pizza set up is with Otto. Hand made, wood oven outdoor and available Thurs - Sat. They are also doing pop ups for food Mon - Weds through August. There's a doggie safe garden area for your furry pals! The staff are great and Brendan (landlord) is legendary and keeps everyone smiling :-)

Putting this on here for the people like me who as soon as the sun comes out, are googling ‘Best Beer Gardens Birmingham’. This is one of, if not the best. Immaculately put together, you’ve got a central section in the sun all day, side tables in the shade, a terrace, booths, more benches, an indoor section under a marquee, and then even more terrace seating under a roof. Plus, pizza served outside. Does it get any better? The pub itself serves a mix of quality cask and keg beers, and a freshly stocked fridge of cans that you can takeaway or drink in. Great staff, great service, really, really great place. I’d say it’s a hidden gem, but it shouldn’t be hidden. And it certainly gets popular once it hits 5pm.

A cosy, very friendly, quirky, craft beer haven with an excellent choice of local brews and a massive garden. Brendon Daly, the very welcoming owner, has done a superb job transforming this place and has sourced beer from a large range of breweries to suit everyone's taste. If you live for craft beer (or cider), like to support local breweries, and enjoy sipping fine ales in a calm, quiet, and cosy atmosphere, drink here now!

We went along for the Second City Ramen night, i was hopeful of fresh beautiful flavours and my expectations were exceeded. The broth was bursting with depth and flavour yet light. The chashu pork was cooked to perfection, the fat was rendered to perfection as im not a fan of gelatinous fat, this was just right, the corn was perfect too. I have never tried tofu before although I've had it on my plate several times, the consistency has always put me off but omfg....smoked crispy tofu..i need it on the regs! Even my bloody dog was eating it...the absolute favourite part of my meal tonight was the greens....Mate! I seriously need the recipe for these cus if there's one way to eat your greens with it being a joy rather than trying to cram your five a day in, then this is it. Well done to the second city ramen team, young hungry talented lads, if this is your first offering then I can't wait to see where this journey takes you & I'll be there to sample the offerings every step of the way. I recommend booking ahead. Also a pet friendly pub which is...
