Merritts Cafe — Restaurant in Birmingham

What a gem of a place. Tried it Sunday for a fry up,11/10. Had a very nice breakfast few extras, fried bread, black pudding, bread and butter, not disappointed, food very well presented, not greasy and all cooked just right. Had the orange juice and coffee, all round very good. The place looks clean and tidy and well kept, no sticky tables here. Parking, plenty just outside. Was in early (opens at 08:00) on a Sunday, busy with take out deliveries, if your one of those and you can get to the cafe you should, you miss the ambience of a proper sit down breakfast One suprise, the cost, cheaper than expected and I for one would pay more for a very nice breakfast here. Nice café which serves a lot of different items. Was very busy with delivery drivers picking up orders for people who wanted delivery of takeaway food,but this wasn't an issue,as I was still able to get to the counter quickly and order my breakfast. The girl who served me was friendly, pleasant and very efficient. I sat down and started to read a newspaper which was on the table and within a short while,my breakfast was brought to my table. It was very tasty and cooked well. The only item that I would have liked more was free range eggs instead of the ordinary ones that were served up. After ordering takeaways on just eat, things were great, then the café started missing items from my order, regular breakfast no hash brown, I included a note and the next order on the Saturday, had extra hash browns, to which I thanked the restaurant, the next day ,on the Sunday to my shock the hash brown on the regular, was missing again, I told the café I was disappointed as the order was wrong again. They informed me to check my orders, as they had sent extra, They need to check their feedback, and start answering the phone ! We have now changed restaurants.
