The best greek restaurant in the West Midlands! I ordered the lamb skewer portion and it was one of the best food I have ever tried. The meat was juicy and tender and with the accompaniment of chips, salad and tzatziki (greek yoghurt, cucumber and garlic dip) it is a fantastic meal to eat on it's own. The Greek refreshments are also outstanding and of excellent quality of taste, something which truly makes a difference from the Coca Cola, pepsi or fanta you will have to choose from in other restaurants. I had the oreo biscuit desert, something which I absolutely recommend, as the lovely taste of the oreo biscuit combined with cream and the chocolate filling helps to end your meal with an excellent desert. The overall environment is cozy, absolutely suitable for families with children and travels you back to Greece. The staff were incredible and very friendly, excellent in both ordering and serving, as well as answering any questions the customer might have. I absolutely think that Mr Souvlaki has an outstanding quality of food, deserts amd refreshments, equal to the quality found in restaurants in Greece and the environment overall constitutes it the best Greek restaurant in the West Midlands, something which I have not found in my experience in any other of the Greek restaurants in the area.

I can't recommend this enough. Please go!! If you've not eaten Greek before, let me tell you this is NOT Kebab! This is Yeeros, and it's glorious. This is not 'after a few' food (although, it would fill the gap!) This is high quality chicken and pork, with dessert options. You can take the whole family, any time of day! I've eaten in for the mixed grill - everything was beautiful and it was very generous - and I've had the mixed meat pitta takeaway. Both experiences were so lovely. Their menu suits both lunch and dinner, and the decor felt like I was on holiday! So yes, it's great food, but also a lovely, friendly experience. Please, treat yourself! Northfield has needed this for a long time.

Not many places deserve 5 stars across the board. BUT this place is one of them for a Greek takeaway and eat in. Reason..staff are warm and attentive, and the food..well the meat is so tender and full of flavour clearly marinated, clearly take great care of thier product. Everything super fresh, even the fries are crips and the cooking oil certainly fresh. I've just came back from Athens and this souvlaki topped the ones I had there. Decor rustic and authentic and everything including tables and what I could see of the kitchen... really clean. Tziki and houmous tasted homemade and fresh. Pittas fluffy and the yoghurt and cherry dessert was fresh made for us. Absolutely delicious.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolute Gem in Northfield – Mr. Souvlaki!

If you’re looking for authentic, mouth-watering Greek food served with heart and soul, Mr. Souvlaki in Northfield is a must-visit. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality that sets this place apart from any other local eatery.

The staff are incredibly hardworking — every detail is handled with care, precision, and pride. Whether it’s during a busy lunch hour or a quiet evening, they’re always on their feet, ensuring every customer is served quickly and with a smile. You can tell this team is passionate about what they do, and it shows not only in their service but in the quality of the food.

Speaking of food — absolutely delicious! Every bite tastes fresh and authentic. The grilled meats are perfectly seasoned and tender, the wraps are generously filled, and the homemade tzatziki is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The portions are generous, and everything is made with a level of love and authenticity that’s hard to find these days.

A special mention has to go to Kostas, the heart of Mr. Souvlaki. His kindness and presence make this place feel like more than just a takeaway — it feels like home. He takes the time to talk to customers, remembers faces, and always checks that you’re happy with your food. That personal touch makes a huge difference. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, Kostas makes you feel truly welcome, valued, and taken care of.

In a world where customer service is often rushed and impersonal, Mr. Souvlaki is a refreshing reminder of how things should be — great food, honest work, and people who genuinely care.

Highly recommend to anyone in Northfield or beyond — this place is a treasure! Thank you, Mr. Souvlaki team and Kostas, for setting the standard so high. Keep doing what you’re doing — you’re...

Myself and my wife visited Greece over 30 years ago when we were barely out of our teens. During that trip we tasted Souvlaki for the first time and fell in love with the food, country and people. Fast forward to present day and It's only been a matter of days since we've returned from Cyprus searching out that Souvlaki that would remind us of our first holiday together. Other places in those years have got close but have never quite hit the mark. Until now.

It was purely by chance that we caught sight of the sign above the door "Mr Souvlaki". Still being in the holiday mood and it being lunch time, it had to be tried. Now this is the UK and experience has told us to lower our expectations. The place looked great though as we walked in. It was a good start. We were greeted by what we can only guess was the "Mr" in the title. Welcoming, friendly, passionate. Ok, this is going a little too well. We ordered the pork skewers and chicken skewers box meals. They arrived and looked great. Cubes of meat were removed from the skewers, wrapped in a bit of the pitta with a little salad and tzatziki and in the mouths they went. Holly Moly. Ever had that feeling where a smell or taste instantly transports you to somewhere in your past? Well we suddenly became those teenagers again on our first holiday to Greece.

Needless to say, we will be back. It takes an hour to drive, so it won't be every month, but it will be worth that drive believe me. Congratulations to Mr Souvlaki on delivering...
