Went after such a long time for a Birthday meal but was disappointed for a number of reasons. First the positive:
The starters; Dosa, Tandoori chicken & Shimla prawns were a treat (as usual). Cooked to perfection & highly recommended!
Negatives: When we walked in, we weren't really given the option to choose where we wanted to sit (we wanted to sit in the booth). After a while we requested to be sat in the booth (there were two empty behind us). We were told they have been reserved (mind you this was an hour before closing time so I find it difficult to believe someone would book a table during the last hour). Having said that, even if I accept someone had made a reservation, it was clear no one was turning up by now so they should've really allowed us. There were no 'reservation' signs on the tables either. I asked if we could be sat on the other side in that case since the side next to the kitchen was all free. There was a slight hesitation again from the waiter who said 'it was cold on that side' but we said we don't mind. Eventually when we were moved, it wasn't cold in the least. We stayed till closing time & both booths that were claimed were reserved were still empty!
Moving onto the food, we thought we'd try something different in the mains this time around. We gave Murgh makhni a try & in all honesty it was a BIG dissapointment. The sauce used in the dish was almost like a tomatoe puree or something that would be used as a pasta sauce. All in all, the main was disappointing. I've had this dish before from the place it has originated from so I have some idea how it tastes. It was nothing like it. Having said that I wasn't expecting them to replicate the dish but what I wasn't expecting was a poorly made sauce/gravy. Mind you i have been here several times & have never been disappointed with the food except on this occasion unfortunately...

16.03.22 Updating My Reply Fao: Raja Monkey Owners. Sadly, My review is based on genuine evidence, as I have kept the chicken dish, if an you or an independent person wanted to look at it. As you know, I have been to your restaurant few times and found you exceptionaly good but it is a takeaway order you messed up. I personally think you should know the facts before imputing malice. To put it another way , Be grateful to the mirror as it shows the true reflection and do not blame and deny the fact. Let me know if you want your unconsumed dish. I do not want any refund but prefer to take note of my complaint Delivery delayed by 25 minutes Video order confirmation delivery time 8:45 pm and you actually delivered 9:10 pm . The Chiken was badly cooked or handled. I have kept the unconsumed dish for your reference. Ideally the least you could do, update the delay in delivery and give me the option to cancell as I could have reordered elsewhere. The " conflict " is not a valid excuse as we are fully Vegitarian restaurant and therefore not your competition.
My OriginalReview posted was.: " Very Bad food, Delivery order arrived 25 minutes late, after making 2 ☎️ calls. To make things worse the chicken supposed to be chefs speciality, was actually raw and not edible, was unae to chew on it. was like leather with lot of salt. It tasted and looked like dehydrated old defrosted chicken. Horrible..., experience.Shamel"If you need any more help I. reaching a conclusion, please let me know. This will be good for you and...
Read morewent for father’s day and the food was excellent. they do a sunday thali for £20 that wasn’t available on the menu, i only saw it because of google photos so i showed them and they mentioned its only served on sundays. there’s so much variety in it, and it was delicious so thank you to whoever posted a photo of that otherwise i wouldn’t have known! the chicken tandoori that came with the thali was genuinely the best i’ve had in years, so tender and flavourful. service was great, super friendly and attentive. i had the pistachio lassi and wasn’t a fan, but there was a lemony coconut drink that came with the thali that was unbelievably good. will be coming back this week! i first came about 7/8 years ago when it was more of a street food place and it was far too expensive and overpriced for the amount of food you’d get back then. they’ve made the right choice switching to a more fine dining menu and vibe, the restaurant itself is gorgeous and atmosphere is great, especially if you wanted to do a group meal. even on the receipt they had the price option of what it would be if everyone at the table split things equally which i’ve not...
