I said to my partner looks like nice place as we keep driving past to work We had thought we stop and try the Sunday buffet meal We where seated by the toilets not good We ordered buffet Sunday meal as we had already eaten earlier We Was not offered any popodoms or sauces The GOLDEN rule off any Indian restaurants is thatvyou have to supply them unbelievable We had our starters very poor just dump on the table and left we finish starters then with in 5 minutes the mains dump on the table no resting time to chat or starters to settle just unbelievable no manners from staff meal very poor had a better meal from framfoods no taste at all I was asked twice had I finish do you want clear the plates I was still eating bad manners bad staffing We ended up having a ice cream dump on the table and a coffee The worst insult was you get offered a bailys at the end we don't drink Instead off offering a bailys try offering some pomadoms We was very disappointed in service and food never judge a book by its cover they only intested in the business ppl and not interested in the working class ppl shame I was hoping for a better service but we keep driving past knowing we tryed ...

Visited yesterday and although I wasn't totally disappointed, it wasn't a patch on what it used to be, and not a patch on other local restaurants of similar cuisine. My Dupiaza balti was really bland with hardly any sauce at all and very dry. My partner has a butter chicken and this was bland and tasted of nothing but coconut. Naan bread and poppadoms was lovely.... and the chips. We ordered dessert, I had a banana boat and this was terrible. It was on a oval plate was swimming in some sort of juice, a cut up banana and 1 scoop of ice cream...... and some warmed up Tinned fruit cocktail on the side. I was driving so had a diet coke. How can they justify £4.25 for a glass of coke?? (This was out of a plastic 2 litre bottle) - so the second glass we had was flat. My wife had Rose wine, a small glass at £6 which again was cheap stuff. My wife works for the NHS so gets 10% on her blue light card. The male member of staff pulled a face when we presented the card at the time of payment. Look overall it wasn't terrible but I'm sorry we won't be visiting there again as there are many other better establishments...

This is a good local curry house. Not much room to park which could be an issue. I couldn't find anything online about it being halal so I called them and they confirmed that they are halal.

4 of us went and for the most part enjoyed the food. Two of our starters were wrong but after the long wait to get them we didn't bother to tell them. One was simple (chicken samosa instead of meat, even though the server read it back to us). The other not so simple (a chicken wrap instead of chickpeas and lentils). Not too worry though, we aren't fussy. We did let our server know when he came to collect our plates and to his credit he did ask if we wanted it remade. Obviously by this point it was eaten so we said no. Pakora has a soft batter but is still tasty.

The mains were very generous portion sizes and were generally good. One thing that perplexed us was that the biryani had a side curry. This isn't what a biryani is so none of were sure what the curry was for. This got left. Keema rice was great and the chicken tikka naan was a little too thick for our liking but was...

Had a smashing evening at Shabar Balti Restaurant in Birmingham with me mates. Decided to be a bit thrifty and went for tap water, but that didn't take away from the experience one bit. The menu was a proper treat, though the service was a tad slow—just a wee knock for the wait, but let me tell ya, it was well worth it in the end. I opted for the lamb tikka masala, and oh blimey, it was spot on! The lamb was tender, and the sauce was brimming with rich, authentic flavour. It had just the right amount of spice, leaving me proper chuffed. Though there was a bit of a wait, the food more than made up for it. Shabar Balti Restaurant is definitely a place I'd pop back to, especially for that cracking good grub!

In one word, brilliant! Never let down by the food or service at this restaurant. Starters, mains and desserts all served in good time. Each bit of food was lovely and tasted amazingly. The Thawa Lamb Tikka Naga they do is a favourite of mine which I am yet to see replicated anywhere else. They have a good children's menu to choose from for the little ones and the main menu has many great options as well as the usual standard curries. I always try and come here as takeaways never the same without the friendly and welcoming service you receive here! If you want super curries then this is your place.

Visited here for the first time today. Customer service and food was exceptional. I ordered the signature Sorisha Murg Tikka and was not disappointed, both spice and texture was amazing, plenty of chicken pieces and lots of rice. My friend ordered the Tawa Chicken which came literally on a Tawa, the first time I have ever seen anything like it. Again no complaints. Only thing which we didn’t like was the naan bread which wasn’t baked in a clay oven, it was packet naan. Overall food and experience was amazing. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning, thanks guys.
