My review isnโt biased โ itโs simply based on my personal experience at your restaurant. I didnโt originally list what I ordered, but since youโve asked for more details, here they are. We ordered three poppadoms with the four dips, but oddly received two onion dips โ not sure why anyone would want duplicates of the same one. For starters, we had the fish tikka and lamb chops. Two lamb chops were served, and we had to wait for the fish tikka to arrive afterward. The lamb was very dry and chewy, while the fish lacked flavour. For the mains, the biryani was served cold, which made it seem like it wasnโt freshly prepared. The chicken tikka masala was overly creamy and had very little flavour. To end the meal, we were given two shots of Baileys with the bill, which might have been a nice gesture โ but when we raised concerns about our experience, the response was dismissive. A quick โsorryโ and walking off felt rude and unprofessional. The waiter should ask us if we would like the Complementary drinks. We wouldโve kindly declined When asked, why should we be the ones to ask? Itโs a bit backwards if you ask me
The only positive I can mention is that the restaurant itself was very clean. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I wouldnโt return. It feels more like a place suited for people who are there mainly to drink and grab a curry โ where food quality might not matter as much after a few drinks.
The restaurant and toilets were very clean, which I appreciated. However, the food itself was a letdown for me โ the taste was quite bland and the portions felt small. I donโt drink, yet alcohol was given with my bill, and when my partner questioned this, the staff member at the front simply brushed it off with, โwe didnโt know.โ Overall, while the place was tidy, the food and service didnโt meet my expectations. I wouldnโt visit again. How on earth this place won an award...
ย ย ย Read moreMe and my partner went to the titash lastnight in sheldon, We was greeted straight away by the lovely gentleman and shown straight to our table with a smile, we had popadom and the chutney tray, firstly the popadoms was lovely and fresh and tasty and the chutney tray had mint sauce and a red sauce also chopped onions and more onions with a twist with chilli flakes, was amazing. We then had our starters, we both had the lamb chops starters. First thing I would say is the aroma hit us both straight away as it was brought to our table, The lamb chops was succulent juicy and tender, they was very meaty and fresh and blended well with the salad what it arrived with, For our main course we had lamb and mushroom Pathia with a garlic and cheese naan and the railway lamb signature dish with a roti, The naan bread was very tasty and had a nice cheese pull with a nice garlic taste, The roti was thin and crispy just how I like my rotis, The lamb and mushroom pathia was juicy with a lovely colour to the dish and there was plenty of lamb in it which was juicy and flavoursome and tender, 10/10 also the railway lamb had a lovely slight kick and was so juicy with loads of tender lamb and it also had potato aswell 10/10 every item we had was packed with full of flavour and the aroma was in the air and it all tasted so good. I would like to thank the staff who was very polite and helpful, I would like to give a special mention to the young male waiter who told us about the history of titash and showed us old pictures of the restaurant when heโs dad opened the doors for the first time 40 years ago when he was 18, The decor is outstanding with hand crafted glass panels and the seating is amazing with booths and normal seating for bigger partyโs, we will definitely be going back very soon, I would rate the Titash from my overall experience 10/10 keep up the good work guys you deserve having...
ย ย ย Read moreFinding out from Facebook that a place has very recently one an award is always going to be a magnet for a visit, even though it's over an hour away. We had booked a table for 6.15pm on a Friday night and unsurprisingly there were only a few others in. Parking was a bit scarce and being on the busy A45 doesn't make it easy. Once in though, it is all worth it. The staff are friendly and very helpful. There were a few young guys on our night but again they were very obliging. There seemed to be an issue with the laget, both Cobra and Madri were on the warm side, the latter being the better option. Poppadoms of course with a nice chutney tray, unusually having two onion salads. Another shared sheekh kebab which missed the mark, coarse meat and most unusually one was quite cool and bland, the other quite hot which I guess must have been in the microwave's sweet spot. The wife had her usual balti, but I was tempted by our waiter recommending the Railway Lamb. I rarely have lamb because it is so often tough or fatty, but this one was superb. Indeed despite the fact that it could have been a bit warmer, I would go as far to and it was one of the best curries I have had in a long time. The sides were very good too. When we left at around 8.00pm the room was almost full. Not sure where all these people had parked. The bill was pretty reasonable which included a doggy bag for another day. We would be more than happy to go back but we would be trying an...
