I recently visited the park near the airport, and it was a delightful experience for both kids and adults alike. The park offers a unique blend of natural beauty and exciting aviation sights.
The highlight of this park is the opportunity to watch airplanes take off and land. It's an enthralling experience, especially for aviation enthusiasts and young children. The park has designated viewing areas with benches, where you can relax and enjoy the spectacle of planes soaring into the sky or gracefully touching down on the runway. The sight and sound of these massive machines are sure to captivate visitors of all ages.
In addition to the aviation excitement, the park also boasts a small zoo or animal enclosure. Kids can enjoy observing various animals, from playful monkeys to colorful birds. It's a great educational experience that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the visit.
The park is well-maintained and clean, with ample parking facilities and well-kept walking paths. There are also picnic areas and green spaces, making it an ideal spot for families to spend a leisurely day. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, providing information about the airport operations and the animals in the park.
Overall, the combination of aviation thrills and the chance to connect with nature through animal watching makes this park near the airport a fantastic destination for families and aviation enthusiasts alike. Whether you're a kid with a fascination for airplanes or an adult looking for a unique day out, this park offers an unforgettable experience that's both fun and...
Read moreWell Well Well... the children play area was crowded as it was a sunny day. Kids actually enjoyed. Few cows and sheep to look at, sounds fun. However, a group of illegal dirt bikes without helmets intimidating other kids who are trying to play football does not help. Secondly, I don't know if it was me or actually there are so many dogs. No issues with that but dogs without lead who are squaring up to fight does not portray a good picture. Certainly, can't blame the dogs but the dog walker. Third, it could well be a one off incident but some parents are really eager to get into arguments with physical gestures if their child don't get a turn on a swing. I guess they can potentially wait for their turn but hey its Sheldon, what to expect. Fourth, heard a group of young White lads mocking an Asian kid, lets say it was not so English tone. Fifth, I know Fast and Furious is coming out but blasting loud music, reving engines and fast pull in & outs of kids car park with a colourfull smell of herbs in April... Come On... So, my advice is to be mentally prepared for a handson if needed, just in case. If you are not such a person, think again I guess. Definitily, will not go there again. I would certainly suggest, unless you are stuck with...
Read moreDifficult to find, just basically ignore the sat nav as it will send you to the opening part of the park! We took a couple of attempts at finding the car park but did eventually find it. It's a lovely open area, with a little cafe selling ice creams and coffee next to the car park along with some toilets. There is a fairly large car park with some disabled parking, the car park surface is flat and ok to walk on. We went to see the planes landing at Birmingham Airport, but on the day we visited, they were taking off. It's incredibly loud when they are doing this and even though there is a walk from the car park to the viewing area, you have to shout because they are so noisy! You do have to walk from the car park to the viewing area, I don't know how far it is as I was not able to walk it the day we visited. There are flat tarmacked paths from the car park leading to grassy areas and a field of cows who love to come and say hello! Obviously dogs must be kept on a lead there. Right by the car park there are some picnic benches and a children's playground which was very busy as it was actually a sunny day! People were also picnicking on the grass by the car park. It's a nice area and Bolly and I will definitely be exploring it more in...
