Corrections added; I have been frequenting this establishment for about Three months now usually for a coffee and if the bakery items look tempting a slice of cake, I popped into the Steam Room today at about 14:15 and ordered a Flat White and a Raspberry and Matcha Blondie which looked amazing, the young person serving duely lifted the glass Closhe and chose the smallest and lacklustre piece with no Rasberry or Matcha in sight, I asked the young person if they were the same cake as it looked like an end piece of Sponge cake, they replied "its from the same batch"! The young person looked at me incredulous that I had asked if it was the same cake, they reluctantly asked if I wanted to change it but was shocked that this person thought it ok to offer an end piece of sponge the only piece that looked like this for £3.50 a slice!! Needless to say I left it and will not be frequenting this establishment in the future.

I love this dog and child/baby friendly cafe, with high chairs and water bowls (and dog treats). This is an excellent place to come, no matter your situation, the staff are always accommodating, and friendly. Coffee is fresh and delicious. I have bought freshly ground coffee beans for my partner and he thoroughly enjoyed. Cakes are always tasty and they usually have a gluten free or vegan one too. The vegan chocolate cake ones, oh my are yummy. I personally think its more chocolatey and tastier than the normal non vegan chocolate cake. They have various teas and also hot chocolate which are worth a visit too. Baby changing facilities available. A little small but it is well kitted out. *The only down side it that they are not open in the evenings, as this would be a perfect little outing for the whole family.

Rapidly becoming my favourite breakfast in Harborne ( Sorry Plough) The steam room is located in a puddle of shops at the Moorpool end of Knightlow road, a relatively quiet junction outside of the morning commute. The Steam Room maintains a relaxed ambience, and serves really good coffee. A pragmatic approach to breakfast see's a nice range of product, including "Full English" options at £7 and about £10 for It's bigger brother - for me, the £7 option is perfectly adequate. A few seats outside and a nice view ( compared to the high street ) down Ravenhurst towards the clock tower at Birmingham leaves a positive impression.

MEAN CHRISTMAS SPIRIT! Took my four year old daughter and two year old son to this park this morning (CHRISTMAS EVE) via this cafe. Ordered a pot of tea. My daughter often likes to have a little bit of my tea so asked for a small cup and extra milk to cool hers down. The amount of milk they give is very minimal anyway so I often find myself having to ask for a 2nd glass. On this occasion my daughter had most the milk and I apologised and asked for a top up in the glass. Baring in mind the glass can only hold about 25ml of milk, the lady said that will be an extra £1!! I was like Whatttt an extra quid for a small bit of milk! I'd already paid £3.20 for the pot of tea! The lady refused to give me anymore so i didn't pursue and went back to our table. Very mean especially as its Christmas Eve today. This used to be our go to cafe but not anymore after...
