The Belmont Hotel — Hotel in Birmingham

Hi ya I called manager about an issue we had he said trust me so I wasn’t happy my partner said trust him so I did how many weeks later me and my partner have called constantly as always told…‘the isn’t here atm’….‘he’s on holiday call at 10:30 he will be here’…‘I’ve called the guy who owned machine’…I called company who own machine who no longer do them bandits it’s his own bandit what he has purchased for his hotel info that’s bandit will only pay out what’s in the machine you are emptying the bottom money container on bandit that’s why it can’t pay out the winnings you have conned us and basically told us a load of rubbish ,rude and quick enough to take my money and open bar when I won in your pub last time as well your not a business man your a con man pay what is owed the money you make and charge but can’t pay a customer there honest winnings and give us a fob story knowing it’s your deal or no deal bandits going to the papers and I will go further with room conditions and bedding conditions ,PEOPLE DO NOT PLAY THIS FRUIT MCHINE YOU WILL NOT GET PAID OUT HE EMPTIES MACHINE SO YOU DONT GET YOUR CORRECT WINGS £144 I won it paid me £77 pound and machine said run out of pound coins told guy who wasn’t bothered that it owed me £67 pound I’m fuming I’ve spent a lot of money here 2 nights and spent a lot in his bar as well not a fair hotel taking my video and phone recordings of him basically being rude to the local news papers as he should do the correct thing and pay me what I’m owed...

The Belmont Hotel is on Hagley Road near many other budget type hotels. Its location is convenient to nearby shops and restaurants and it is essentially a Monday to Friday workingman's hotel. We stayed there and were offered what was available - single rooms one with attached shower and the other without. Both rooms had share toilets. the attached shower bedroom on the top floor was only a fitting - a mere trickle of warm water came out. There were no other rooms so we were left with Hobson's choice. Two nights later we were moved into very smart rooms on the ground floor sold at a slightly higher price. However everything was nice but the heating was on only for a couple of hours or so at best - at least it seemed that way - as the room was quite cold thereafter. There is no restaurant but plenty of delivery drivers made their way in. Parking is limited so one must arrive early enough after work to secure a place. The saving grace was the breakfast. Full, wholesome and served by a delightful Asian lady who was friendly and very willing to serve and serve well. Well done to whoever managed to secure...

Really disappointed with our visit. Me and my whole family stayed. Staff were extremely rude and wanted to exchange our rooms just so that they could save money without compensating for the price. We were not offered any breakfast even though we paid for it. Receptionist kept on pestering us late at night in our rooms disturbing us from our sleep which made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Staff have no respect for any of their customers as everytime we even walked past a staff member, they would be so disrespectful by being extremely standoffish and telling us off.

Will never return again and urge others not to do so either.
