Been really looking forward to going here as it looks so cosy from outside! Was not expecting to barked at by staff the second we walked in “yeah what do you want?” when we hadn’t even seen a menu yet. Both women had such an attitude and clearly didn’t want to be serving customers. Went to sit down yet every single table was reserved so we had to make sure to leave before the people who reserved the table had come in — what a rubbish idea as the seating inside is small anyway so if you don’t reserve a spot you can’t sit in at all unless you want to sit outside in the freezing cold. Inviting Friendly Cafe

This cafe is very welcoming and run by brilliant owner. It really does make a difference when entering a cafe.

I have taken out & sat in and both times the food has been to high standard.

They do tasty jacket potatoes with a good selection of fillings for a reasonable price which is great in the winter.

You can also pay on card or cash. There is also a loyalty card where you get so many drinks and get one free.

Came across this hidden gem while staying at a nearby pub to visit friends for a night out in Leicester. Can HIGHLY recommend. 5 of us all had different combinations of breakfasts - service amazing & the quality of food was second to none across all plates. Owner and staff all friendly & chatty and from the looks of the menu there was plenty of choice for not just breakfast, but morning coffee & cake and lunches too. Would definitely return on my next trip...
