KFC Leicester Forest - East M1 Services — Restaurant in Blaby

If I could give no stars I assure you I would. I have never been dealt with like I was dealt with at this awful KFC service stop. The food was overcooked and horrible. I politely asked if they would change the food. The trainee looked at me blankly and fetched his manager. The manager arrives and questions me why I want to change the food. I explain why and he then says well no one else has complained about this particular meal. I then said I don't want to argue would he mind changing it but he started becoming aggressive. I then asked for a full refund to which he replied we don't do refunds! I was in complete shock and said trading standards says otherwise. He said he wouldn't refund me. I then phoned welcome break head office and was directed to a very kind staff member to asked the manager to refund me in full. He was angry that he had to but then handed over the money. I would avoid this place like the plaque. I am currently in complaints proceedings with KFC head office as this type of thing can't happen to consumers....

Uninterested, forgetful and unhelpful. Sullen and mumbled greeting and service.

The only thing right with the food was the prepacked sides (when we finally got them) which don't require on-site prep - the rest was soggy and limp. Standard accoutrements - spork for sides, salt, napkins, advertised dips - were missing and not offered at the counter.

When going back to get the missing items the 2 female front of house staff were busy chatting to a male friend, with zero regard for the 3 customers queuing to be served. I had to butt in to get acknowledged.

The duty manager, who was wandering around nearby, didn't seem bothered about resolving any of the blatant problems with the presentation of his store, just complained to another colleague the customers were queuing wrong.

The service was very busy and the staff were clearly stressed out. Regardless of all the issues the staff were absolute stars. I felt my heart go out to the poor guys! They were doing all they could and the last thing they needed were angry unhelpful customers! I watched one gentleman slam down a packet of chips exclaiming they were cold in front of lots of customers and they guy behind the counter was so polite, apologised and gave the ungrateful person extra chips with the apology. There were a few shortages and so the staff offered alternatives at the counter and we were happy with the service. I can only apologise for the rest of humanity which have no consideration for the workers at this place! Top notch guys! You did KFC proud!
